I know it isn't what you wanted to hear but my message is that now is not the time to sell.

Its not so much you telling me, it was you telling the forum. :lol

Ill just box his big ass up until an opportunity comes along to sell him off. I do wonder what the future of this figure will be after the release of the HT version. My first reaction is to think it'll collect dust because everyone will go the HT route, but some people seemingly see no difference in any of the Vader suits and think this is accurate to the nth degree. :lol I guess with those people it would come down to price and accessories.

And just so we're straight, I dont buy things for any sort of future monetary gain. When I bought this I already had a Vader and never intended to keep both. I was originally going to sell off the old, until I modified it and decided to keep it.

I think everyone acknowledges the inaccuracies, it's just that most people can live with them and not go on and on moaning about it (not referring to your posts, specifically).

As for price, I don't think it matters anymore if it's SSC or HT. Everything is so overproduced now that even breaking even on resale doesn't seem possible for the vast majority of figures. I don't think holding on to Vader until later will help, personally. SSC's second wave hasn't even come in, yet, so that means another few hundred Vaders will be out there. Then HT's will come, so SSC's will just drop that much more.

This is all under the assumption that HT will even make a Vader. So far, the characters they are making have not had high quality 1/6 versions of them, so it makes sense for them to make/sell certain figures (Han and Chewie, for example). It probably wouldn't make sense for them to make a new R2-D2, considering what SSC is going to be selling. As far as this Vader is concerned, sure there are inaccuracies, but the reality is that if people haven't purchased this figure, in general it's more likely due to price point, than the small inaccuracies. And to be fair, this version figure can be considered "high quality".
Also, there is no guarantee that a HT Vader will be completely accurate to any specific film version. But it is almost a given that an HT Vader will be as expensive (or more expensive) than the SSC one, and will likely come with less accessories. If Hot Toys holds off on a Vader, maybe focusing on the new movies instead, then yes, the SSC Vader will go up in price...

HT will announce a (prob ANH) Vader in the next 12 months - there is no way they won't. They just got the license and Vader is #1 Star Wars character.

It better **** rainbows and cry unicorn tears because HT will have a hard time selling a vader figure in today's marketplace.

before, he had to squad and bend over a bit to fit in. (thats what she said you perverts :lol)

NOW Vader can stand upright in my shelve, if just barely!

That Palpatine and yoda you have are the best I've ever seen!
How'd you do those?

The production level of that video was incredible for a YouTube-destined clip. Wow. And the fight choreography was, dare I say it, hands-down better than anything in any of the actual SW movies. Oops!
