What, why invest minimal resources on a new outfit utilizing existing sculpts to sell at full price? Is that actually a question?

Yea but no one is going to buy that hence no money, ill bet it has the worst sales of any ironman figure, shotgun on the other hand is the main ending armor of the movie. Heck its wasted resources that could help to get heartbreaker and the rest of the armors out on schedule.

It has sold out, like every other Iron Man figure.

I'm excited for the Heartbreaker suit. To me it's more like a Spartan Iron Man.

Well you were wrong before you even bothered to type that, its a special edition that is already sold out. Having some clothes made doesn't detract away from whoever they have working on new armor. There's more than one person employed at Hot Toys.

Well that's because it had an incredibly small run id imagine, either way it took resources that could have been used on other figures is all im saying.

You keep saying that but it doesn't make it true. If anything the probably 95% profit margin will help other figure lines.

I'm sorry, I don't see knitting new clothes and molding a cowboy hat a setback towards other figures...

Heartbreaker :)

If your in Japan, then yea it's in March. But as for the North American release, we're looking at August

Why would it take 4 months between releases? If it's ready for market, it's ready for market. Is that a common delay? I would think it gets released there then gets loaded on some boats and 3 weeks to a month later is in NA.

If it is released in Japan it will be in the US at the same time (like War Machine MK II) or about a month later. The confusion is because HT has been changing the release dates on everything and nobody can be sure until they get the shipping soon email.

Yeah, seems like HT hedged it's bets with late release dates, but are just cranking things out and only telling us they are coming when they are practically ready. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a purposeful tactic to combat the negativity they frequently received over having to announce delays. It's like a restaurant with a long wait for a table. They'll tell you 30-45 minutes when they know full well it will likely be 15-20 minutes, but it's better for them to surprise you sooner than to say 15-20 and have you pissed off if you don't have a table 30 minutes later.

^^^
This pretty much.

What was the original release date .I know mark 42 was feb then on hot toys japan it moved to march. But what I am really surprised at is the ed 209 was that the original date august and now side show is saying april.

I really have know idea what is going on since this website is supposed to be maintained by hot toys so were does sideshow get release date info from. Nearest thing I can think of as to what is coming next is the IP because it is a straight repaint of WM after that I have no clue

I like this way better but now we may end up with four figures in one month. That's a lot of cash out the window at once, granted its replaced with awesome ironmen.

I actually kind of prefer delays to unexpected early releases. With the nature of needing to preorder things and the high price point, it is more important to me that I know when they are coming out with plenty of notice than to get them more quickly with less notice. I wish I had endless disposable income, but purchasing a slew of expensive toys requires planning and picking and choosing what to get. If this hits in March, I may have to cancel my preorder, because my March budget was already determined months ago.

Delays can throw a wrench into a budget as well, but at least it gives you more time to finagle, not less.

I understand where you're coming from. Honestly the flex plans Sideshow offers work well for me because even if something gets released earlier than expected if you're on that you can keep your pre-order and just keep the plan going so you can pay it off at the pace that works well for your budget. Honestly it's harder throwing down full payments on these figures on a consistent basis, which granted doesn't happen too often with Hot Toys but in the rare instances it does it's nice to be able to pay a figure off in a three or four smaller payments rather than all at one time.

Guys, what do you think if I got the Heartbreaker as my first Iron Man figure? Or should I hunt down the main suits?
