You remind of me the fable about "The Fox & The Grapes".

LOL excellent example. You are somewhat correct, I am already dreaming about other pieces (PFs,1/6) that I can attain because they're within my reach and I do not really care about the ones i have missed out on. There's just too much eye candy to take your attention to something else. :peace

Passed on it, didn't regret it, and don't regret it now. Honestly, no throne = room for more Joes/Cobras. :huh

I say BS....it doesn't hog up that much room

(just waiting for new CC Baroness and Destro) on ONE shelf

Hey dingus, I didn't say it takes up too much room, I said not having it leaves room for more figures (you can break out your tapemeasure and doublecheck that fact if you'd like :lol). And I display my figures in cases, not cheapassed WalMart shelves, so real estate is prime. :wink1:

good for you "Mr. Opinionated and better than everyone else here"...

My shelves serve the purpose intended for dimwit....who cares about your overpriced display cases.

It does leave for More Room because CC sits in it DUH! which opens room for 4 more Cobra's to stand next to it :cuckoo:

Oxymoronic, Mr Dimwit (this is why punctuation is important :wink1:). I simply posted that I don't regret having the throne. You're the one trolling me with an unfounded superiority complex because me not having the throne in my detolf leaves room for more figures. :wave

Not trolling or complex :rolleyes2,you just act like because you don't have it in your collection, that EVERYONE else is better off :lol then claiming there isn't room for collector's to put it on display

I find it hilarious of you're 'superiority complex' of "I have better display shelves than you do" you sound like you're in first grade

Show me where I said, or even implied "everyone else is better off." You must be out of Tucks or something. :dunno

I've had the Cobra Throne in its original box for the past few years waiting to be displayed with Crimson Cobra Commander. This thread has made me excited about getting it out on the shelf.

IMO the dios don't take much more horizontal space as a normal collection.

Most people space their figures about the same as I do in these first pictures with or without dios. If the argument is you can fit more figures in the same horizontal space without them, of course its true, but it starts looking like the last picture in my series and who wants that? :lol

The biggest draw back of the dios is shelving depth and height, as long as you space your figures accordingly anyway the dios don't consume much more linear space.

For me it equates to 3 figures on the shelf? Or CC and his throne (without the base). I chose 3 figures.

Just so I have it right, on the picture above with CC, throne and 2 CGs, you would replace the throne with 2 figures for a total of 5 figures?

Like the photo below? Put 2 figures on the shelf in the space of the throne. I like it for Army shots, but if this was how all my shelves looked I think its too crowded.

Nah, I use a detolf. It's either CC and his throne minus the base to a shelf, or CC and two other figures. I chose the latter, especially with SSC having released way more Cobras than Joes.

IKEA is not part of the line. The throne is. It's the centerpiece for a Cobra collection. Fact of the matter is, the throne is the best way to display Cobra Commander.

No size shelf you sell me is going to be better than the throne.

For you, sure. But I've absolutely no need for it. If you and teemu need to do naked chestbumps to justify buying it, that's fine, but it's not the end all be all accessory. If it was, it wouldn't have rotted on the web for years. :wave

Or you can simply display it on top of your Detolf

Tops are saved for statues, dios and prop replicas. :huh

BADASS!!!!!

~~The funny thing is that I actually bought the Cobra Commander figure just to display on the throne (I much prefer the upcoming helmet commander)
