NECA for Alien variants please consider one that still has the membranes or lips or whatever covering the teeth. Same goes for the '79 Alien and the dog alien. To my knowledge that has never been recreated in a toy before. Not even sure if its been done on statues/PFs etc since it isn't the most obvious way to depict the alien. But since NECA loves variants there's a real opportunity here.

:goodpost: would love to see a giger alien with that trademark grin too.

sorry, I was looking forward to these...but these figures look ****ing awful.

Don't write them off completely. I mean this has always been the way with NECA. The drop in quality from the prototype isn't really any bigger than what, say, the T2 figures had. The Dutch figures being as good as they are is actually the anomaly.

Thinking about it last night the potential for variants is pretty huge with the marines and Dutch.

Not counting what we've already got or know will be getting:

Hicks w/ headset calm face
Hicks w/ headset shouting face
Hicks w/ helmet calmface
Hicks w/ acid-burnt armour
Hudson w/ helmet calmface
Hudson w/o helmet calmface and fluffier hair

Dutch casual red shirt
Dutch 'Get to the choppa!' with shouting face and BD shoulder
Dutch 'caught! and fight with predator' with mud washed off
Dutch triumphant (not so important really)

Can anyone think of anything else?

Got these today. The doohicky on Hudson't belt fell off immediately. I tried to snap in back on and the belt snapped in two. I'll fix it , but **** you, Neca.

I don't know WTF it is....Hicks has it on one side of the buckle, Hudson on the other. On my Hicks figure it's super solid, I'd have to pull pretty hard to get it off. On Hudson it fell off before I even knew where it went. Kinda looks like the ALIENS version of James Bond's little pistol.

It's the welding torch. Just glue where it ripped off. Mine did too.

I'd take that over having a ****ty painted figger/

Unfortunately the whole belt came apart when I tried to get it back into the little peg hole. I think the belt on mine was just super thin. The belt on my Hicks is much sturdier. I'll probably just glue the torch to a thin piece of fabric and glue that behind the belt. Like I said, not a huge deal, just annoying.

I just received my set. They look better in-hand then most of the pics I've seen. They're 7" tall so flaws tend to get blown out of proportion with these close up pics.

Of coarse everyone is going to be different on what they find acceptable. For me, at this scale and price point, they look really good. Plus they're fun to mess around with.

Looking at 3 different Hudson figures today I found all of them to have pretty bad paint on the eyes. But once I got home and opened mine (aside from the QC problem I've mentioned) I didn't have an issue with the paint. In natural light, at normal scale, the sculpt comes through.

Picked these up the other day, have only opened hicks so far, but (aside from some paint issues) he's awesome. My Hudson has terrible paint on one eye so I may look to exchange him. Think ill crack open the xeno tonight of I have time.

I'm really loving the new articulation on the Warrior Alien. Normally I'm the type of guy who prefers sculpt over articulation, but this figure has won me over. I can't wait to get the updated Classic Alien.

So I took the lame vest off the dutch with the sleeveless shirt, gunna add the marine armor from Hudson, just hoping it still fits over dutchs larger torso, anyone else tried this yet?

Imagine had Cameron brought Arnold into Aliens after having worked with him on Terminator. He just wouldn't have been right for that universe.

yeah as a main character he wouldnt have fit, as ripley is the lead. but as a Marine higher up of some sort with some grey hair and a scar he'd be a total bad ***. I think he should be a colonel at the marine base training newbies or something, then he'd fit :D

Arnolds best not-a-Terminator acting was probably as Dutch in Predator. Probably everything else has a bit of unintentional hilarity that would undermine a serious sci-fi film such as Alien and even Aliens IMO. By Alien Resurrection though the franchise was full of caricatures anyway so he could have fit in there, what the hell.
