Awesome, really can't wait now. Didn't realise it could be found online. Is it just leaked somewhere? Really looking forward to jokers portrayal.

Joker is great in this. He is portrayed in a very serious and really psychotic way. It is not the Batman Tas type Joker in here voice wise. The movie probably was leaked or in some country had an earlier release date. I dont Know. Anyway if you can do it watch it together with part 1. It makes the hole experience even better(even if you already saw the first part of the story.). It is an incredible serious and dark movie. I just saw it at second time and it impressed me even more. Frank Miller really did something in here story wise. It is very complex and I can go on. The best Batman movie out there. Oh and I agree with Kamandi about the artwork, but it is no biggie.

I just found out part One has been released here in the U.K with virtually no promotion or advertising . Agree about the package artwork letting the product down though . Real missed opportunity as the original covers are classic, iconic , Batman covers . Who makes these decisions ? :cuckoo:
( Though most likely , the cost of using these images was too high to justify !)

Cool, thanks man, I'll hunt it down online. I've already seen part one, got the blu ray as soon as it as available over here. Absolutely love it. I've seen some reviewers say its the best batman movie yet and I have to say that's a pretty fair statement. Part one was brilliant and I'm really excited for part 2. Glad to hear it doesn't disappoint. Was already interested to see how the joker is played as I think he's a hard character to play but it sounds like they've done a great job. This seems like the perfect batman movie to me. Something we haven't had yet in the live action movies, although I'd say batman begins was the closest so far.

Yeah part one has been out for a while over here. I only knew because I kept checking amazon for ages to see if it was released. But I agree, like others have said, the artwork is really lacking. Seems like it would have been a no brained to use the comic book artwork. It's just as iconic as the book itself.

I liked it alot. I feel like I miss some of the internal narrations by some of the characters watching it as a cartoon. I love when robin says the guy smells like milk on the coaster and when superman begs mother nature to help him after the bomb goes off.

The only part I wasn't really crazy about was Bruce's speech to the sons of batman. I hate to be that guy...but if Kevin Conroy would have done that part it would have been goosebumps. I felt batman and joker were well done but sort of lacking from what I've become accustomed to. Hell..even Conan was kinda boring as dave endochrine (although he didn't have much to work with). All and all though, it was very solid.

You are welcome. Also I agree with you. Begins was the best IMO too, but I am still waiting for my type of Batman in live action. Noone done to this character real justice yet. At least in my eyes.

You know I think you just used to Kevin Conroy a little too much. I love the fact that they try to not overuse him. He is the great Batman voice wise but I wouldn't say he was better than Weller, more like he is different. Weller has something what Conroy is lacking and vice versa. IMO Peter was a perfect choice for this role. He has age, experience, wisdom in his voice, he has a great organ and he is working with Miller's Bat. I hope he will return as Batman's voice one day. And it is nice to hear some variety. Imagine how boring would be hearing Kevin as Batman in everything.

I didn't be either. Would have loved a digital copy but the uk version just came with the one format. Wish isn't a major issue as I hate ultraviolet. Still can't get my dark knight rises ultraviolet copy to work.

Yeah I totally agree, begins was amazing, I think the closest to how I envision a batman movie should be, and I love Christian Bale as an actor. Been my favourite actor since American Psycho so was thrilled when I heard he was gonna be playing batman. But as you said, I don't feel my idea of a perfect batman movie has been done. But the dark knight returns seems like its pretty damn close to my perfect vision of how it should be done. I actually wouldn't have minded someone doing a live action version of the book as a start to the new movies, start with an adaptation of this and then go backwards, showing how it ends using that as a basis, then going back and showing earlier stuff, working towards what we saw in the first film.

Speaking of movies I don't know if you saw that fan film, but is is brilliant! A little off topic and I am sorry because of that but I have to share this. Now in live action this is my favorite Batman by far and it is "only" a fan movie. This is the comicbook Dark Knight:

I wish the film makers would do a Batman movie similar to this.

edit:
And this is the sequel:

:goodpost: yeah I've seen city of scars, loved it. They've done some really great fan films. And show how a comic style bat suit can look awesome. Although I wasn't too thrilled with the joker in it, I don't think any fan films have done the joker well. I don't think I've seen the sequel though. Will check that out now. :hi5:

Thanks man :hi5: I just watched it and realised I had seen it. I read an interview recently with the director of those and he said he's finished with batman now and is moving onto some original projects. But yeah, those are some great interpretations.

No problem! :) Yeah I heard about that too. Sad news but I can understand him, but at least we have those great fan films from him! :rock

Yeah, don't blame the guy for wanting to move on. Just hope someone can take some inspiration from them for the next reboot. And also hope that when they reboot they don't settle on just having to do a trilogy, as seems to be the trend lately. They should look to making an ongoing series of films.

A friend of mine saw this, said it was great . . . and super violent and bloody.

Can't wait to see it.

Can't wait to see the second part. Part 1 was good, but I think part2 will be even better.

I really hope this does well so they can do more adult oriented films like Killing Joke (gotta get Hamill and Conroy back for that one).

Yeah, the more adult orientated aspect of part 1 and as it sounds part 2, is a great and refreshing addition to batman movies.

Also yeah, hoping this will pave the way for some more of the darker story lines to be adapted to animated movies. I'd actually love to see knightfall made into an animated movie trilogy. I think that could be amazing.

I watched it. It was amazing. A great adaptation, and an awesome movie. The Joker part was incredibly well done (albeit unnerving).

I agree wanna see the long halloween too.

One thing I really really wish they did is a V For Vendetta Motion Comic just like they did for Watchmen. Or a animated version of V For Vendetta, but I would be okay with just a motion comic version of it  I would just love to see the comic made into something.
