Honestly, that Scar / AvP Pred that Tsang is sculpting looks more like a straight off 1/6th scale figure.

I'm all for improvements and I really love what they've done with Classic, Shadow, and the Super Predators, but I've spent a lot of time building up my collection throughout the year and I wouldn't even really know what to sell and what to keep. I like them all, but I really just want the best version of each character. I'd also hate if I sold Guardian Predator and Lost Predator for example, and then they end up never do new versions of them.

I don't know how I'm going to approach the 1/4 scale stuff. Predator 1 only? I just don't know. Tough Predator decisions to make is all. Same goes for my old versions of Mark I and such too. Haven't decided on those either.
You know, you don't have to buy everything Hot Toys releases :wink1:

this thread should be re-named "the great predator purge".

lolz at epeople who thinks and treats these figures as stock options.

:lol

I skipped the Sucker Punch and Watchmen stuff. I have some restraint.

I buy these guys for my own enjoyment and I don't really like the idea of selling these. It's kind of a hassle and as I've said before, I'm kind of attached. Especially with how fragile the older Predators can be and not really being able to box them back up since they were model kits.

Many of the people thinking of selling are doing so because they want only the best versions of their favourite characters, or because otherwise they won't be able to fit the new ones into their budgets. Don't assume they originally bought the figures with the sole intent to resell down the line. I wouldn't sell anything if I had another choice.

Or into their shelves. It almost amazes me how big of an issue space has become for this hobby. Can't put these gorgeous pieces into storage, because that dumbs down the hobby to ownership, throwing artistic appreciation out the window. I know people have their reasons, but I could never do it. It's either sell or display (somehow) with me.

I'm f__kin' rich! :lecture I'm gonna buy all these ____s eventhough I already have the old versions! :yess:

:rotfl

:peace Just kiddin'

I'll probably pass on the 1/4th scale cause I don't think I can handle its prices anymore. Good thing, I haven't watched P2, AVP, AVPR yet so no interest on those licenses. Regarding P1 & Predators, I'm already satisfied w/ the 1/6th scale versions I own from those licenses so...:wink1:

Seriously I would keep everything if I could, I hate selling. I hate needing to do it (my own fault though) and I hate the process, despite the fact that my experiences of it have been fine so far. So I certainly wouldn't buy something specifically to sell it later, to say nothing of the fact that being in Ireland I will pretty much always be shipping internationally and can't make much if any profit on things anyway.

Buy a long shelf...saw it into pieces big enough to hold the specific Predator..put them up on the walls in your room..

Looks good, and you can never run out of room.. :dunno

That was my plan, although I didn't go through with it because I sold (almost) all of my HT figures..

If these new 1/4 Preds are much more accurate than the 1/6 versions..That's probably how I will be displaying them.

Suppose if you consider HT prices have historically been lower than Enterbays (haven't they?) they might be cheaper than Enterbays 1/4s...but then again these are Predators....and they're supposed to be over 7ft tall...shrink that to 1/4...even to the more likely 1/5 that they'll be...

Yes, given the size of a 1/4 scale predator and that they're throwing in things like die-cast armor and helmets, these will easily be $500 a piece, if not more. Iron Monger is only 17" and retails for what, $489?

good point, guess im sticking with ss 1/4

Again though, Hot Toys is asking $479 for their 17" Iron Monger. Hell, I bet a 21" Predator with die-cast armor lists for $600.

I'm not sure if all of the armor will be die-cast. Just some parts here and there (the blades and weapons).
