Hot Toy DX08 - BATMAN - The Joker (Jack Nicholson) - Specs & Pics

Took a break from the hurricane preperation by watching the 89 movie.

I love how the Commissioner tried to move the huge bell all by himself

I also love that Joker hanged his hat and jacket on the gargoyle.

I really never get tired of watching this movie.

Oh well, back to the grind.

Speaking of the gargoyle, with Sideshow doing environments to accompany Hot Toys figures now, wouldn't it be fantastic if they did an environment for '89 Joker and Batman? Specifically, I'm thinking a chunk of the bell tower, either the inside with a bell or the outside balcony with a gargoyle statue and a few brick arches in the back. I'd find that extremely hard to pass up.

My hopes for Jack:
-First appearance Jack:Grissom's office dio, revolver, cards, hat, multiple hands, a bloody newspaper, and a 2nd smudged newspaper.

-Toy Fair Exclusive 2012 Uncle Bingo Jack: Quill, costume, etc.

-Board room Jack: Hat, Joybuzzer, handkerchief, charred corpse, and 2 headsculpts(1 with the forehead smudge)

-Party man Jack: Art Gallery dio with statue and pedestal, 2 heads(1 tan, one water damaged; only the water damaged head would be necessary if they went ahead with boardroom Joker)

-Infomercial Joker: Two dioramas (beach background, grocery aisle background), a beach chair, sunglasses, drink, shopping cart and Joker products, and "Who's that Joker?" girl standees.

Granted, I don't want all of those, but 1 or 2 of the ones I listed would be great.

$325 will get us another DX with multiple head sculpts and costumes for Uncle Bingo and the Party Man but no diorama of any kind.

I just hope the mass produced figure is as nicely tailored as this prototype. What a wonderful job they did!!

Only thing that would make it better would be to include a "You wouldn't hit a man with glasses, now would ya?" head sculpt with a bloody mouth (to go with the chattering teeth).

I iimagine at some point we'll get a museum/wonderful toys Joker with "normal" and "streaked" heads. The other possibility would be a Jack Napier figure with a "Wait'll they get a load of me" head.

Sadly, my favorite look for Jack's Joker is the mime outfit, but I doubt we'll see that.

Kinda. As I recall they never showed a close up of the funny money in the theatrical cut, so they can get away with not doing it (but why wouldn't they?)
