Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Anyone know when this will be released?

Thanks.

No one know at the moment. No details have been release. Just keep an eye on this thread, I'm sure it will be posted once someone knows something.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Suddenly all other HT figures coming has lost their luster.....man this looks so great (I don't have an original suit, naturally)

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Okay, which one of you bought the BIN $500 and two $530 ones on ebay? :impatient:

Who would do that? I mean, yeah it's not surprising, I understand the mentality being a collector all these years but it hasn't even been 12 hours since the announcement. But to pay up front? Give someone all that cash out of impatience? Are people that hopeless that they don't think they'll see one for less than FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Do they not care about saving their hard earned money? I mean, what's a pre-order so soon going to do, guarantee that you paid the most at first sight?

If we let Hot Toys and sellers know that we don't have a problem with paying ridiculous prices then we set a trend where these new, higher prices are the norm.

Do we really want to pay half a grand for 1/6 figures now?

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

This thread will have more replies than any other HT thread ever in the next few weeks...just watch

Not me. :dunno

I have no idea why, but there are people out there with money to burn and will do anything to secure what they want no matter the cost. While I can't fault people for their spending habits, it does annoy me since that just fuels the hoarders and flippers who make my collecting life a lot harder.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

I don't know why some people are so upset, even to the degree of quitting hot toys all together.
When the exclusives were new characters, scarecrow and demon bats, people lost their minds because those were characters they "needed" in their collection.
Ok. I agree. I had to pay alot to get them. And there was no way I would pass them up.

But then when the exclusive reuses some parts or revamps an existing character, or in the case ofthe iron man exclusive simply repaints. People flip and call hot toys cheap and get all Mad about that.

Let me stop for a sec. And mention something some don't seem to understand first.
If you don't like it, you don't HAVE to buy it. Pass it up. You don't haveto QUIT hot toys either. Trust me new figures you do like will come along.

Basically hot toys can't win. No toy company can. They can never please everyone. But I guess because I personally have the ability to say NO to some releases I'll be ok, I'll be happy.

I love this freaking release. And I hav the OC bats. Spent alot on it too. But that doesn't bother me. I would have bought this if it was ONLY the survival suit Bruce figure. The addition of the cowl and facial features is an absolute bonus and will replace the head on my current OC.
I think this is the perfect release. Especially for an exclusive. It appeals to the many many people who don't have the OC. An it appeals to people like me who want to display a killer survival suit Bruce Wayne.

I'm pumped. All I'm worried about is that sideshow won't be selling them and I'll have to pay a small fortune for one.

Well said! This is a way to get people the figure they want- why the exclusive? To charge more? Who can say?
I hope SS and other outlets sell it- my guess is retail $220-250.

:exactly::goodpost:

I don't understand why people act like HT is holding a gun to their head and making them buy ____. It's your compulsion, don't blame them. Get pissed at yourself for not being able to say no.
