Yeah, it seems like they are producing these in really high amounts, but Sideshow and DC Direct apparently won't be distributing. I'm not overly worried, either.

Yes. I am nostalgic about MJ from the Thriller period, so I'm hoping to pick that one up, too.
I think MJ will be more popular on the Asian market, but Scarecrow might be more popular here. We'll see. I want both about equally.
Thats the thing. Without HT releasing edition sizes on their regular figures, we have no idea if 2,000 or 4,000 is low, normal, or high for a figure's edition. Sounds low to me, but Sideshow has been producing figures in those number ranges now so perhaps not. The fact they are 'exclusives' though always makes everyone panic. I personally won't feel safe until I have one ordered from a reliable retailer.
Yeah, there is still that uncertainty. And it is possible that this won't be cheap to come by. But, the production numbers are high compared with what was supposedly produced for SDCC, and those aren't overly expensive to get at the moment. We'll just have to be vigilant and keep our eyes and ears open, I suppose.

If so, they will apparently be Hong Kong or Japanese conventions.

That's kind of ____ed up how they made something as essential as Scarecrow and Beat It MJ Asian exclusives. I mean I'm not worried but the way they answered that question in the article made it sound as though they weren't even concerned about the fan base outside of Asia.

Really, I honestly don't think HT will neglect other markets. It just doesn't make any sense business wise. I feel what we're seeing here is the hype train at full speed.

Just read the article and posted this there, have to say, anyone else find it funny how they said they wanted to choose characters that "would appeal to a wide variety of fans" despite the fact they're only releasing it to a very limited group of fans?
I'm sure that there are a wide variety of fans in Asia.
