They should have an option of the two heads without the dogs.

Those dogs are unnecessary accessories to increase the price. I've never seen a Ledger figure and thought to myself, you know what it needs, it needs dogs. And if you're going to include the dogs, where's the metal rod he had in that scene?

If the single figure or deluxe with dogs and second sculpt is around InArts $500 range I'll bite. I can finally own a joker with rooted hair. Plus the bare hands being movable and maybe even the gloved hands also it will be cool. Hope the silicon face isn't supper flexible as long as I can move the neck for articulation it's cool.

The single is said to be $800 and 2 heads is supposed to cost you $1200. And moveable fingers only in the $1700 deluxe set.

There is no $500 range from what has been batted around.

It all seems pretty bare bones for $1700+.... like yeah, where the hell is the pipe if they're including the dogs, just doesn't make any sense.

Like the freakin' mega duper deluxe is being charged $500 more for just a body and clothing and some arms, wtf.

Based on these images alone, I'm not really seeing a huge upgrade over what we've gotten so far. Outfit looks about same as we've been seeing. It's smart of them to have the grenade pouch be separate but outside of that, I'm not really seeing an improvement to the tailoring as a whole. It looks to be on par with INARTs production outfit. Not to mention, this is the prototype outfit we're looking at. Too early to tell but the sculpt looks to have that same odd look to it that their statue had, which wasn't good imo. I don't know if it's the way they do their eyes or paint job, but the likeness doesn't look quite right.

As a whole, I'm honestly having trouble seeing where the extra money is going towards. At the end of the day, we're going to be having these figures displayed on a shelf 5-10 feet away from us. The sculpt and one pair of hands being silicone just doesn't look to justify the increase in price when the overall package doesn't look that much more impressive then what we've been getting from Hot Toys/INART. I guess I expected more. :dunno Maybe I'll feel more impressed when more images roll in. Then again, it could also be from this character having been done to death. Everything about this has been done from the lowest of quality to the highest already. There really isn't anything for JND to offer here with this character that we haven't seen.

Yeah both having the interrogation style paint is odd too. Why not one just clean? Their decisions just make no sense.

Damn $800 is steep, especially because if there isn't much difference apart from the sculpts being silicone and having magnetic eyes. Probably better off just using that money on a future InArt release. Though if the promo images do it for me I won't mind as much.

That pic above shows the InArt clothing is the weakest of the bunch. Of course, theirs is of production clothing and the other 2 are of prototypes.
I don't see the big upgrade that JND has on the outfit but maybe I'm blind to it. Looks like the same old bathrub-like texture that we've been getting. It isn't any thinner or unique to what we already have like what Hwa made with his custom. No proper edge stitching on the lapels. Blazer is the same old grey that everyone has been doing. Not seeing anything really stand out with the green vest, tie or blue collar shirt as well.

This thing would’ve been hundreds of dollars cheaper - and potentially had more longevity - if they hadn’t been so weird and experimental with the design. I mean, come on, you never see Ledger’s full neck/chest in the movie, he didn’t really need that seamless neck, and I feel like the movable magnetic eyes would be a lot more prone to failure/rolling around than traditional sticks/PERS.

I like that he comes with a smiling head, but I’m not a fan of how smudged the makeup is so far - it almost seems like a slightly stylized wax museum interpretation.

They need to drop all the pics.

Except for the coat buttons and the slightly drabber vest color, the outfit looks the same to me as InArt. I'm sure there are lots of differences, but on the shelf I'll never know... nothing pops but those buttons.

I'm a little disappointed... but maybe now a little richer to boot.

Just to be clear before my list, I fully understand that the InArt is a production piece and the others are of prototypes as I mentioned in the post you quoted.

  • Squared off shoulders and better shade of purple on the outer coat on JND and HT. All 3 still missing the stitching on the lapels though.
  • In-scale buttons on the vest of JND’s and HT with a muted green on JND’s. HT looks like it may be similar in color to InArt
  • Sharper looking cut n sew in HT and Hand but again, those are prototypes vs a production piece
  • Shirt color isn’t so blue and the collar looks better tailored on both HT and JND
  • Tie appears to be more accurate on JND’s meaning one might not need upgrade to a Dino tie like with InArt and HT.
  • Pants appear to be roughly the same on all 3 just maybe different material choices. Will be interesting if JND opted for the accurate dot pinstripes vs full lines, I doubt it though.

Also, interesting that you posted that pic of Hwa’s previous outfit as it was mentioned earlier in the thread that that was an early prototype for JND’s figure if I understood @xXJ0kerXx1 correctly when they mentioned it

Exactly what I'm seeing, let alone seeing that from a prototype vs a production outfit has me feeling disappointed. I was expecting a possible step up here.

At $850-$2000 that they're charging, you're better off getting one of wonderworldpbr or Aries $400 outfit, which actually looks higher quality compared to what we're getting from Hot Toys/INART. Then slap a custom sculpt on it. You'd have a better looking final Joker figure for a similar price.

This just looks more or less the same but with some added $$$ on top and without the security that the production version will even match yet. Maybe the rest of the photos will impress more.
