Yeah I think some of these sculpts just require a much better paintup than Exo-6 is capable of delivering in order to bring out the likeness.
Your Janeway is a prime example of that, made all the difference.

I actually don’t mind the paint application on Torres, she’s easily top three in the VOY lineup.

The sculpts do look very good in these renders. In regards to Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres, if these are renders of the actual production sculpts, then this pretty much proves that it is the paint apps that are hurting the sculpts.

Hoping that at least a few of us Trek fans are old enough to remember the always excellent TV show Fraiser, because this is Voyager GOLD!

Didn't know this even existed - thanks for the share! Not the funniest sketch you'll ever watch (unlike the show itself that STILL outshines everything else out there), but cool anyways.

As regards the latest B’Elanna announcement / pre-order - I think that's pretty impressive!

I'm not getting ANY Voyager characters, but I think the EXO-6 team have done a great job with her. Well-done!

Damn. One glance at those prototype pics, and it was a big fat no. I know we are more lenient on these EXO-6 figures, but damn.....

It might be a matter of price, but between what other manufactures can produce, and this.

I mean… there aren’t any visible seam lines or plug holes. 😂

Jokes aside, I think, as usual, photography ends up making these look worse than they are. I’ll wait till I see some in hand shots.

With regards to that, because of the base I’ll probably end up displaying it from the starboard side.

And between what I have in hand and on preorder, which only comes to about a dozen figures, many of the human ones don’t look all that great (I primarily collect TNG onwards). But if I want Star Trek figures, we don’t have much choice.

From the figures I have, it’s ‘usually’ the non-human ones which have been pretty good, whereas the human ones have unfortunately pretty much all disappointed. But it looks like this one breaks that trend.

And I know you were joking about the seam lines, but the first thing I noticed when I first got these in hand, were that the seam lines from the casting were far more apparent on the head and hand sculpts than they are on Hot Toys figures.

Neelix looks bad. Not sure what they’re thinking. The weird expression on the sculpt along with the outfit that sure he wore but isn’t really his iconic look.. yeesh.
