He didn't really come out of retirement right? He was allegedly in A New Hope too.

I don't remember how he was in Clone Wars because I didn't pay much attention to him. Was he always into that doctrine or was he more like a nice guy just following orders?
A dedicated Republic officer during the Clone Wars period, just like Tarkin. Now they're fully indoctrinated with Galatic Emprire's dogma to rule the Galaxy.

Epic posts by ajp and ZE as well!

Great stuff.

Ok my review of this episode.

Freaking masterpiece….AGAIN! :panic:

Amazing music!

Droid was amazing!

Everything was stunning from costumes to acting to tension to nazi mom!
Is this really modern SW! :thud:

I will say this..

If Mando S3 is as good or better than the already great Mando S1/S2 and Andor continues on this absolutely spectacular path it is on then both shows are all I’ll ever need.

A great marriage of swashbuckling thrilling SW mixed with mature stimulating SW!

Thanks. Tarkin was always shown to be a zealot. Was Yularen that way too?

With Clone Wars and now Andor, it is interesting to see how Republic officers and politicians have changed in the Empire.

Could be a class thing. Only new money buys droids. Old money has natural born servants.

As ZE_501 just wrote, I think it's a status symbol.

Agreed. It's like someone owning a luxury car, a yacht, or a designer dog these days.

Despite being a count, Dooku had no such pretences. He even rode in the front!

I absolutely adore the editing of this show.

And I can't believe how riveting and tense I'm finding the Mon Mothma sequences considering I already know for a fact that she's not going to get caught, lol.

There's literally four or more different threads that would be captivating enough for their own series. Intercutting between all of them in a single show is mind-blowing.

Khev finally chimed in here. This was the first Star Wars thread that had no evidence of his convictions, I couldn't believe it. I'm happy to hear he's coming around to the show.

I loved the IBS showdown. The writing on this show could be a writing class with scenes like that.

Also loved Andor's prostitute, Windi. Hot!

Further TV parallels: I wonder if Orson Krennic is named after Mork's boss from Ork.

And also if Timothy Olyphant's Cobb Vanth is named after his Office co-character...

I just watched Rogue One again. I can appreciate Cassian's character more now as he was the least interesting character when I saw this years ago. Even if the series hasn't concluded yet, his character is the most fleshed out from the Rogue One team.

I loved the IBS showdown.

Anybody not knowing what's being talked about might think it stands for irritable bowel syndrome. That's one messy showdown.

I can’t wait to see the Othello King Lear version of Bor-Gullet now :panic:

A testament to good writing, directing and acting. Same with Clone Wars finale, you know Ahsoka and Rex wont die but the tension is there and the stakes feel high regardless.

Prior to this, if you had told me I'd be thinking about a D+ Star Wars series, loving every minute of it and eagerly awaiting the next episode every week, I'd have slapped a nerd.

I still don't know how this got made. It's as if someone with my entertainment sensibilities infiltrated Disney in 2018, slowly gathering resources and weaving an intricate web of misdirection and subterfuge, building a clandestine network ... until they were finally activated ... when it was far too late to stop it. :panic:
