Oh that's right. So he is alive.

That leaves the only option for this show is to "kill" Obi-Wan in a fake death so the Empire leaves Bail and his family alone.
I'm calling it: Obi-Wan will "die" by falling into our reliable old Sarlacc Pit, inside which he'll use the Force to commune with the beast so he's not actually harmed. Because the set is built & available and Disney is too cheap to do anything more clever. Disney - the Hot Toys of movie studios.

You are absolutely correct. So this show better end with Obi-Wan faking his own death at the very least.
I think this (or maybe the rumored Season 2?) will be how this ends. Reva should probably die too. I don't mind a redemption arc for her as long as she dies in the end. If she lives, she's a big loose end.

Yep they screwed all that up for the sole purpose of shoehorning Reva into the story. They should have had Leia kidnapped by someone other than the Empire so that Kenobi's efforts to rescue her wouldn't be witnessed by Vader and the Inquisitors first hand. Then they could have come up with some other excuse for Obi-Wan and Vader to cross paths that didn't directly involve Leia.

Unless of course they actually try to connect the dots with ANH and have the show end with Vader thinking Kenobi is dead like Wor-Gar suggested.
I think a fakeout Kenobi death would be a stretch. Vader doesn't seem like he'd be easily fooled by such a thing.

Tarkin: "...surely he must be dead by now."

Vader: "Don't underestimate the Force."

Vader's mastery of the Force seems like it'd alert him to Kenobi actually dying. Yoda was sensing Anakin slaughtering people after he'd turned and been deemed "Vader" by Palpatine. Luke was sensing his friends in trouble on Bespin. Leia knew Luke wasn't on the DS2 when it exploded.

And I think it's equally silly for Kenobi to spend 10 years not knowing Anakin/Vader was alive.

Who was Kenobi protecting Luke from if not Vader? Padme's pregnancy was supposed to be a secret, at least in terms of Anakin being the father. So, who would be aware of Luke's existence and potential if not Anakin/Vader? If the answer is Palpatine, he's taking care of the potential threat by eliminating all existing Jedi. No more masters = no more students. Force-sensitive kids would be too numerous to eliminate, and they'd pose no threat without training. The twins were kept from Vader. Not only was that made explicit in OT dialogue, but it's what makes sense.

It appeared that close to half the Imperial officers in the Empire's Jaws 3D base were female.

Clearly the Empire quietly set aside that equal recruitment mandate, as just ten years later for the OT.... not a single female face is seen in the Empire's ranks. 😬
I’m waiting for the OT FE (Female Edition)

Is having an "adorable" sidekick Disney's MO now? Li'l Leia doesn't put me off as much as Grogu, but as stated above it messes with ANH.

SW script generator - only the names have been changed...

And once again it's left to the fans to rationalise things:

Mental gymnastics champions right there.

Holy crap start at 10:15 :rotfl

The slapping stormtrooper commentary is freaking priceless!

Three Stooges. :lol

They make a great point about Vader though. When he's pissed and determined to kill someone he never lets them respond and plead their case.

Not with Captain Antilles, not with Admiral Ozzel and assumedly not with Captain Needa. Hell if he ignored the pleas of his own wife why would he give the slightest care to what dumb Reva had to say.

And once again it's left to the fans to rationalise things:

I've never had a hernia, but reading strained attempts to rationalise %&#% writing is gonna do it. I give Lucas a pass for the Luke kissing his sister thing coz what are you gonna do, and Padme just up and dying - when any normal parent faced with 2 babies is gonna kick the bum to the curb, quietly siphon some assets from Naboo, and set up as a comfortable widow in the Outer Rim (later marrying the factory owner who makes those magic food powders you mix with water. With the unerring purity of the young, Grogu of course would reject the nutritious slop in favor of genocide.)

Speaking of which, with 2 episodes left, seems like it's time for a Mando/Grogu save. Guess Din D'jarin would be too young, but they could shoehorn in Maz Kanata (diversity and ST tie in) having a vision......"do not despair, for one will come shining like the third moon of Yedurjn, and hold both Child and sword, to save this &%$# franchise."
