Yantoys 1/6 Puzzle Man - Riddler 2022

Seems a good price, and if they're DAF Toys then it'll likely be good as I was pleased with their Scarecrow (which also had a quality body).

Just a shame I have no interest in owning this version of The Riddler, or anything to do with this version of Batman.

Agreed that there are a lot of elements that seem to beat the Katon one, but if we’re going to compare, we should at least compare with the second proto (still being tweaked):

Yeah I was gonna say, at least compare the more updated version. Still, for about three times the price, I’m glad I didn’t jump on the Katon version. I absolutely love the cards being included but for an extra $300 I can live without them. THIS is the 1/6 Riddler I wanted, and I’m excited that Daftoys is the one that’s tackling it.

I went through a phase of excitement simply because this new Batman isn't a murderous idiot from Boston hell bent on killing Superman. I'm excited there's a new Batman that's good enough to have a figure on the shelf.

That excitement was tempered a bit after another 3 hour slog of mostly nothing happening...

Yantoys version looks more accurate. They got the jacket/hoodie and even the jackets front pocket flaps correctly.

The spacing on the jacket like the waist side pockets and the middle rectangle section that runs down the jacket is more accurate on yantoys.

Great figure for $150. The recasted DX11 hands is kind of weird but they look like generic black hospital gloves on the real costume regardless.

Agreed. Katon has a bottom button that is wrong, the pocket flaps are wrong, the collar is incorrect shape, the hoodie remains gray, the wrist straps look to be reversed, and his interior fur looks to be a separate piece.

Katon does correctly have the black surgical gloves though.

They have both missed the pull ties for the hoodie and jacket because they are both going off that publicity shot that doesn't have them, but in the movie I believe he does.

In the actual film, the hoodie doesn't have pull ties and the jacket has no insignia. Pretty much everyone is getting that detail wrong, and, to be fair, it looks way cooler with the insignia. The army at the end has the insignia.

Edit: My phone won't let me grab a screen shot, but right around the 3:40 mark, there is a very good, very well lit shot of Riddler straight facing the camera.

Good detective work. I could have sworn I saw the jacket pull-string dangling in some scene, but maybe not. I figured that on-set photo would be accurate but I guess not. If the figures have it right, that's all the better then.

All the envelopes. Proper rifle. Probably a hot chocolate with '?'...

But you'll have to wait nearly 2 years to get it.

It'll be $275 with a 2-3 year wait time. No reason to go with Hot Toys on this unless if they do a head sculpt and that's assuming that they even bother spending time on a sculpt for this figure.

$150 for this guy is a no brainer. Figure is up on GianToys as well. I really like the look and pose with the rifle slinged on his back. It's how I would probably display him. Or make a DIY duct tape and have him posed with that.

Does anyone know what the Riddler's actual rifle was? Is this one correct?

I know the Riddlerees had all kind of rifles, but I'd prefer to be Riddler specific.

I just went through every Riddler scene in the movie and I can't find any time where he has the pull strings in his hoodie. Doesn't look like the jacket either. I wonder why there's so many pictures with the strings there?

The Daftoys rifle is also definitely not the Riddler's sniper rifle.
