AHHHHHH! It GOT you!!!!

I was trying to think of a great villain since 2008's Joker... has there been one in 14 years of the MCU, or any movie for that matter? I mean, a really great villain, great performance, up there in Top 10 level? You know, Darth Vader, Hannibal Lector, Ledger Joker, and ...

In the end... Joker wins over Vulture. And there's a bizarre Keaton connection there. I've been reassessing my collection lately, and Vulture, as unique and awesome as it is, just does not fit... besides taking up and enormous amount of space.

But beyond the character, it is also the tech. I was just talking to a friend I've known on the boards since I started here and we were remembering long ago when we were dreaming of jointless hands, real hair, perfect tailoring... and here it is. The only thing its missing is real-feel skin.

And a wiggly tongue for R_R_X.
OK, I get that you prefer Joker over Vulture and that you’re excited over the promise of a leap forward in quality. It’s the committing $1K without seeing production pieces that has me gobsmacked lol. This is their FIRST foray into 1/6 figures, is it not? Granted their statues look excellent but it still seems like quite the leap of faith.

You didn't think I had it in me, did you? :)

Is anyone ordering more than one?

Have to admit I'm tempted to get a 2nd deluxe given how pricey they might end up being.

Or maybe get a regular and sell the rooted hair purple coat figure from my deluxe to make some money back. It's really the jail cell version I really want the rooted hair. Sculpted looks good on the regular figure.

I considered him. But is he...great? I mean, truly great. Are people walking around, imitating him, saying his lines, wanting to be him? I'm not sure the MCU's greatest villain rises to that level.

So that's why I asked. Is Ledger's Joker really the last great villain we've had? We're so overdue.

Certainly you can sell your coated Joker for $650+ and keep the one you want at a steal.

Thanos is the only one that comes to mind. Not legendary status but he was their best villain.

Great performance, had motivation + reason for what he was doing and I love seeing heroes lose every now and then. He won in Infinity War. It's not often that you see your villian actually accomplish their goal.

There's been a lot of good villains. Even great. Like Thanos or the T-1000, but there's certain villains that transcend and appeal to even the average joe, non-comic book/sci-fi guy.

It's subjective of course. I'm thinking Darth Vader, Hans Gruber, Nicholson Joker, Agent Smith,
Ledger Joker...

I just think people will think Thanos looks silly in time. Purple smurf I hear alot. Davy Jones is a great villain but I think people feel because he's all squidy that he's silly.

He’s great only because it gave us this gem of a “your momma” joke I heard:

“Your mommas so fat thanos had to snap twice.”

I really enjoyed the return of Dafoe's Goblin but yeah I don't think anyone can match Ledger, that performance transcended everything that came before and after it.

Nobody under 30 knows who Hans Gruber is, old man.
