Perhaps Hoody Goblin tonight? Did get a SW last week, although it was 1/4. Not sure how long HK Secret Base keeps their preorders open, but perhaps enough time has passed for the other Goblin.

When is going to be released Loki Endgame? Tony Mech 2.0?... It's amazing the delay HT's is having. It's starting to make me feel tired of.

I'm a bit surprised Iron Spider only has an IW release. I would've thought they'd re-release it under any of the Spider-Man films, given how many appearances that suit has. Or maybe, perhaps a 2.0 is in the works.

Yeah, I'd thought they'd release it for NWH since he wears it for his first battle with Doc Ock.

Agreed. But I look at secondary market prices and they are not crazy like some other figures are. You would have thought an easy reissue would have happened in anticipation of the movie, but no. I think they are passing and they are already behind on Hawkeye, Classic Loki if they are still doing him and the rest of the NWH figures.

Then they have The Picture Book Of Beta Fattso to get through... Maybe they should just skip that, do a Hawkeye, Spider-Tobey & Spider-Andrew and move on to Doctor Chad, Schizo Knight and Desert Plains Drifter-Wan.

At this point I'd rather have the Strange variants than the Spider-Man ones. Maybe cause they are vastly different visually than the NWH Spider-Mans. Seriously, who wouldn't want that crazy Zombie Strange with 10 arms? My poor Defender Strange....

Oh, I most definitely agree. MoM's got too many good designs and characters for me to not put in on the front as of now. I scrapped Ock & Goblin, and I'm probably going to scrap Battinson too if we really get all that good stuff from DS2. It's just Raimi-Man for me, and that's for completionism reasons. Wizard robes are exactly what I'm in this hobby for.

Great headsculpts, intricate designs and tailoring, capes and shashes gallore oh my. It's why I warmed up to Mummy Knight too; the extra details will make for a great figure.

I'm a fan of tunics, shashes and the such in general.

Knew you'd come around on Moon Knight. Even more detail in that photo from all the previous ones we seen. Very impressive costume.

I think Raimi is more suited to Strange than Spider-Man. From what I understood from the writer who also wrote Loki, Feige told him they were going in a different direction and rewrote the script once Raimi got involved. Even Cumberbatch said they did all they could to tailor it to Raimi to make it a Raimi film. That horror background just suits Strange much more than Spidey.

It's the sash and golden accents that sold me on it. It flows well together in general and they even did the glowing white eyes. If he does appear somewhere else down the line, I assume they'll go for a more conventional take. It's Wanda's that irks me, especially the hair. Sometimes it looks like extremelly tacky and fake red, sometimes it's basically blonde. Why can't they just do a proper ginger shade? They had it right in Infiniy War. But I don't know if I can skip her this time too. I'm not sure where and how she'll show up again.

Most definitely. Raimi is a Ditko fan, that's why there was that small Dr. Strange Easter Egg in SM2. I'm expecting some really good stuff from this film. It's the first time in years I'm legitimately looking forward to a capeflick. I'm still expecting it to be MCU-fied, but it seems to have lots of Raimi's usuals in there so I'm optimistic. It'd be great if he could come back for a third, more self-contained story. Triumph & Torment mixed with something else could work. Mephisto, Dormammu, Clea, Doom; it'd be great.

I'm also excited at the prospect of a Moon Knight figure from Hot Toys. Hopefully they bring the same craftsmanship and attention to detail that they've showed on their Dr. Strange releases.

I can't quite make them out, but are those hieroglyphics running down the front of his thighs?

This is what I'm hoping for. If they just get lazy and do plastic cast bandages it'll look boring. They must be fabric for it to really look great. And if they do that, it will. It'll certainly be an imposing figure that grabs the attention.

Now that you mention it, I notice those designs too, yeah. But nope, I can't make anything out. Maybe they're some sort of religious inscription for Khonshu.

It's evident that this is their take on the Fist Of Khonshu look, it's not regular street level MK.

The tunic in the middle really brings it together. It does look like a Warrior Priest's costume. It could theoretically be improved in some ways, but I've warmed up to it a whole lot since the intitial reveal. I'm definitely in for the figure, anyhow.

This could be one of the most detailed figures HT has ever made if they want to do it. Certainly looks worth all the effort.

Those have to be Egyptian hieroglyphs. Zoomed in, it is still hard to make out what exactly which glyphs are which.

Wow notta this week. Surprising with all the figures we've speculated HT should make. Looks worse for Hawkeye Kate/Clint and honestly Sandman/Electro/Lizard.

I'd write off Lizard & Sandman, and hold little hopes for Electro. Kate & Clint not being even teased yet is weird. Maybe HT is hard at work doing all those Stranges... Still, they're falling behind. With this pace I don't think we'll get even half of the DS2 cameos and characters...

Honestly they should just drop a teaser like they did with the avengers. So we atleast know what to expect. If you can make all of those easily then you can tease Spider-Man characters we may get.

Exactly. They should do that with Doctor Strange 2, considering how many characters are going to be in it. Just throw us a bone to assure us.

So far, MCU wise, my list for the year is something like this:
  • Raimi-Man
  • Strange (Normal, Defender, Comic-Accurate)
  • Stewart Xavier (if McKellen showed up I'd get his Magneto too)
  • Reed (Krasinski or Gruffudd, but I'm rooting for the latter)
  • Wanda (not 100% sold on the costume, but it's close enough and who knows if she'll appear again)
  • McAvoy Xavier & Fassbender Magneto if the rumours are true, though I doubt it; but maybe if it's true that they're merging universes and they'll become the MCU versions, I could wait
  • Mummy Knight & Mr. Knight
I think that just about covers this year's movies & shows. I'm not a Thor guy, so unless a comic accurate Loki shows up, I'm not interested in anything. I love Bale, but have no interest in Gorr (I'll probably get an extra TDKR head, stick it on a Kang and headcanon Bale as MCU Kang). I'd buy a Russell Crowe Zeus in a heartbeat, but they won't put out such a figure. I doubt Hercules will appear, but they'll probably set him up for later down the line. Same goes for Ares. I guess if Black Bolt appears in DS2 I'd get him too.

I've decided and I'm going to skip MCU Namor and just get an Aquaman 2 AquaMomoa in his black & blue costume as a stand-in. Momoa actually looks like Poseidon and is basically Jae Lee's Namor with a beard.

God, that was a great story. Great art, pure comic fun, Doom getting Namor's mum as a sex slave.

Doom-and-his-Atlantean-Wench.jpg

God, I wish that was me... Doom, I mean. Me as Doom. Not- You get my point. Whatever, AquaMomoa will be a fine stand-in for Namor in my collection is what I'm getting at. It might not be Namor per se, but... I can live with it. I'm not getting a pudgy 50 year old Mexican guy as an Atlantean. I just can't do it. Atlantis is rooted in very specific mythologies, and Namor is literally Hermes x Poseidon as an Elf. I can't get over the racelift of the entire civilization into something entirely separate. I've been watching his Narcos scenes and some interviews and the guy is a complete miscast. I mean, for ****'s sake, how does a race that lives UNDERWATER, which is, you know, under tons of pressure and WITH NO LIGHT, not turn paler as time goes on? Namor should look like a shark.

DC's Aquaman at least delivered on the GrecoRoman & Sci-Fi aesthetics, so I'd rather have that on my shelf. Plus, Momoa and Heard are actually hot, you know? I'd like to look at them on my shelf.

Compare them with this guy.

villainbp.jpg

Come on, I'm not shelling out 300€ for his likeness. It's swallow, but if I'm paying that much money, I want the actors and actresses to be handsome. The guy's a pudgy manlet and Momoa is a 6'4" Chad. Me, I wanted Luke Evans as Namor.

mizuri-official-namor.jpg

What could've been... I don't know, maybe they'll get him on roids, fix his face, give him a good costume and the guy will win me over, but I'm not holding out much hope.

Anyway, I'm hoping there'll be some form of a Black Panther in Wakanda Forever, but I don't know. I wouldn't buy a Shuri because I grew up with Priest's run and I want a T'Challa. MCU Shuri is too annoying and she doesn't have the great aesthetics of 616 Shuri.

Shuri-Black-Panther-female-Marvel-Comics.jpg

I could deal with M'Baku taking over, as the recent rumours suggest. Or maybe a redeemed and ressurected Killmonger. But I will say, as a comicfan, MCU Killmonger was a big let down. I like MBJ in general, but he didn't fit the role. Too short and he was written too whiny. 616 Killmonger was a 6'4" Chad sociopath with purely selfish motives who wanted to Americanize Wakanda, and that put him at odds with T'Challa who was a traditionalist. And he had a bitchin' costume.

black_panther_1998_22.jpg

I could always go back and buy the older figures, but they cost a pretty penny now. Still, I want a Black Panther in some form. But I was hoping for something like this and it's why I kept skipping.

Black-Panther-Marvel-Comics-Tchalla-Priest-Era.jpg

The MCU suits just aren't regal enough. They're missing something. Man, I remember when T'Challa was a stone-cold killer and a strategic and scientific supergenius who was basically black (and not evil, just... antiquated by our moral standards) Doom. For a long period of time my Top 5 was Doom, T'Challa, Moon Knight, Tony Stark & Kang.

Black-Panther-10.jpg

Now he's just another MCU joke. I've said it before, and I'll say it again; it should've been Based Digimon.
