Yes RO would have been so much cooler if they had earned and mastered the Death Star plans instead of just stealing them like "anyone" can do. šŸ˜‰
Well, that's not a fair comparison. It's like comparing breaking into the Pentagon and stealing documents to stealing clothes from a biker Terminator style. One takes extensive planning, the other one doesn't. It'd be silly if the T 800 had to earn his biker clothes while he accomplishes several feats naked. šŸ¤
I don't think Boba stealing stuff enhances Boba's character in anyway, but working his way up in rank among a clan of "savages" demonstrates adaptability, physical and mental strength that otherwise wouldn't be there if he simply stole and beat up some people.šŸ˜€

I havenā€™t seen anyone else mention this but Dean Cundey shot this episode. Holy what! I didnā€™t realize he was still working. He hasnā€™t shot anything major for a looooong time.
Early to mid nineties maybe?

Funny I just picked up The Thing on 4K disc this week, lol. I see that Episode 4 will be shot by him as well.

Hopefully Fett's time with the Sandpeople has a nice payoff even if they do go with the tried and true trope of them being a surprise army for him. They'll certainly be cooler than Ewoks or Gungans. Plus "taming the untamable" will giving him some pretty cool bragging rights. I wonder how much "rhyming" they'll try to do with his own past. I won't be surprised if the Tusken kid watches his father get decapitated (or at least taken out) by the Wookiee.

The Buffinator said:
Yeah, that's the most likely outcome but I'd still like a few of these not-so-nice characters to be available for more than one or two episodes before they get Toro Cali-canned. :lol Not that I'm in any way implying that TC should have been a recurring character. Mando should have offed him after about 10 seconds!

Maybe we'll find out that Boba has worked with Black Krrsantan (the Wookiee) in the past and he's actually a plant and on Fett's payroll? While that could undermine BK's badass potential it could also give Boba some points in terms of prepping for this takeover, something he's sorely lacking at the moment. If I'm not mistaken Fett referred to him as a "gladiator", so he seems to at least know him by reputation.

Good point on the gladiator comment. Maybe early foreshadowing that he is good with a sword or something (which will fall in line with my thought that he'll decapitate the Tusken kid's father.)

Boba Fett will do his best to console the little boy by telling him how his father was decapitated in battle by a Jedi, but knowing this Boba Fett, he'll screw it up by telling the little boy that his father was killed by the best and coolest Jedi in the whole galaxy, not some lame ass Wookiee. šŸ¤Tusken boy will make sad noises. šŸ˜–

Parker: He's a robot.... Bigfoot's a god damn robot!

Yes, Alien stole this (but not from Dune)
Although in this U it's Wookiees who are "known to pull people's arms from their sockets.ā€ :wink1:

So this fight could go either way.

I quite enjoyed the tribal dance at the end left me feeling quite good actually.

Howeverā€¦

The Sand People taming thing is not really as impressive for me because Mando had already become their friend so Boba wasnā€™t the first.

So it's the third time Fett will follow in Cobb Vanth's footsteps then, lol. And taking out the Krayt with Tuskens was definitely cooler than taking out the train.

I guess the difference will (assumedly) be that the Tuskens will end up coming to Fett's aid towards the end simply because they like him as opposed to a truce of mutual benefit.

Iā€™ve said it before that 4K disc is beautiful.

i just checked the last remotely significant movie i could see Cundey did was Looney Tunes Back In Action 2003 and i say that because itā€™s Joe Dante and a guilty pleasure and before that itā€™s Apollo 13 in 1995! Wow.

But I miss the widescreen style he used in the Carpenter films.

The other unfortunate thing is that while Mando S1-2 are always calling me to come rewatch them I could not sit thru Fett episode 1 and 2 ever again.

Mando I can easily jump right back into.

Mind blowing just how many epic moments exist in Mando.

Boba off to a forgettable start :gah:

Something that was definitely annoying was him interrogating the Night Wind assassin with his helmet off. Yes it's definitely best to go with your least intimidating look when trying to get info from someone who just tried to kill you. :slap
What bugged me about that was they allowed the assassin to keep his face covered.

Lol Fett gets both arms ripped off by the Wookie enforcer in the final episode.

Comes back Season 2 with mechanical limbs (ala Darth Maul)
šŸ¤

Nah.This is BOBA fett we're talking about, the man who almost blew himself up fighting several henchmen in the first episode, when he could have easily used his jetpack.

The Wookiee will grab Fett's arms. Fett, instead of shooting a rocket, will finally use his jetpack to fly off, ripping his own arms off, leaving the Wookiee behind holding the arms, confused by Boba's stupidity.

Maybe Fett's Tusken friends have been networking with other clans & he'll have more allies than we expect, including the residents of Mos Pelgo and one Cobb Vanth. It'll be Deadwood redux, with Boba Fett as a less intelligent version of Al Swearengen. :lol

Nope. Don't think I've ever seen someone snort a lizard before. There was the carnivorous bunnies in Lone Ranger I guess. :bunnydanc :bunnydanc :bunnydanc

And there's the Candiru fish of the Amazon which maybe gave F&F ideas but too much for the kiddies.:monkey3

Oh I definitely assume that there will be other clans. I'm picturing he'll have a whole army of them swarming over the wastes for the season finale.

One of the most difficult/frustrating aspects of this show that I was not expecting to have to deal with is the fact that aren't trying to make a seamless continuity with OT Fett. They're obviously just pulling an "MCU" with regard to TM's recasting like with Rhodey or Bruce Banner where they don't even pretend that the current version looks like the prior version and are just carrying on as if Fett always had TM's physique. It's just so much harder to do for a character that has been established for 40 years as opposed to a single film.
Exactly how I feel. Im finding the disconnect between the look of OT Fett and Disney Fett is too big a chasm to leap over. Sure, have TM cast as present day Fett, but they should have at least cast a stunt double that looked like his ROTJ version for the Sarlacc escape, and then used the deep fake technology for when the jawas rob him and steal his armour. Itā€™s not like Disney couldnā€™t afford it, just seems they decided to be tight-asses and cheap out.
