:D

If that's the DCD verison, then I think the sculpt def. looks better than either HT and medicoms.

Oh very nice repaint job. Nice dramatic shot too.

Due to extreme shortness of cash, and the fact I don't intend to really delve heavily into the Batman side of figure collecting, I think I'll go for this figure as well. I actually don't mind the larger size, and I rather like the likeness.

The only thing that bugs me though is the grey waistcoat, as shouldn't it be green? I may end up either bleaching it and trying to re dye it myself, or get another made for him in the right colour fabric.

Waistcoat? If you mean the Suit jacket inside the trench coat then that is gray. If you mean the vest (sleeveless thing) inside the suit jacket then that is green.

Yeah, I mean the vest. In the UK we'd call that a waistcoat. That should have been green going by how HT and Medicom's done theirs.

Actualy the suit jacket should be blue, not grey. No body but Les has gotten this right so far.

It's very questionable though, it's not a pure blue, it's a blue grey, could go both ways, as long as the right grey is used, grey can look fine, or like Les you can really match the color.

They'd call that an 'airforce blue'. In other words a bluey grey, but of course it depends on the lightings conditions under which this image was taken.

Mine arrived today and the factory paint job on the head is pretty good, I think. Not nearly as nice as the customs out there, but the shades of green in the hair are more subtle than I was expecting, and the detail on the ears is pretty impressive (as though the clown white has mostly rubbed off).

I don't feel so bad not spending $200 on a Hot Toys version.

Same here. I'm afraid with todays financial climate I can barely justify spending money on frivolous things like this at all, let alone what it would require to but the Hot Toys version. I know they do beautiful work, but I just haven't got the money. :(

A heads up for those who are in the UK and who wish to get the DC version a bit cheaper. Play.com are currently listing it for £44.99 including free delivery, where as Forbidden Planet have it listed for £44.99 plus £5.20 postal charges. And If you decide to buy it directly from their shop it costs £54.99! So Play seems like athe best bet. Thats where I've ordered mine from. They won't have it until the 27th of this month, but I'm not in any hurry.

I've decided that when I get hold of mine I'm going to re sculpt ares of the hair (make it more like the Hot Toys version) try and dye the vest and make him some socks to cover those bare ankles. :naughty

Oh you lucky old thing you. My meager income (or lack of it really) can only stretch to the DC one I'm afraid.

Yes, it's not as good as the HT version, but when it comes to a good likeness I still think that after I've customed it, that I'll prefer the DC head.

I think I might pose the DC Direct like he's in the interrogation room (sans coat). Now to find a good table and a relatively cheap Batman (the DC Direct probably) to pose behind him---

I was in the Glasgow FB last week and they had this in stock, had a look at it and for the money it seems good, yes the sculpt isnt as good as the hot toys one but it isnt bad either.

The clothes look quite cool as week, well designed and fit good, the accesories that come with him also look cool.

I am definately planning to buy one to go with my Hot Toys one on order.

I had a look at the DC Batman, all I can say for that is oh dear a turd looks better!:D

Avoid!

I actually think it's a tad better. The hair needs to be longer like the HT version, and I think with a bit of work could look really good. Didn't I hear somewher It's from a scan?

I'm strangely not all that keen on the HT likeness. The sculpting seems too overdone on the wrinkles etc.

The clothes on the other hand are simply superb

Got my DC Direct Joker today--- He'll tide me over until the HT one ships from Toys2.:D

Looks like anyone that missed out on the DC Direct Joker will have another shot at it.

I went ahead and ordered one of the second run DCD Jokers. After getting a good look at all 3 1/6 Jokers now, this one is my favorite overall.

Yeah, I've ordered one now too. I very much like the HT version, but I want to get my hands on the DC head and see what can be done with it.
