Yep and Fennec's comment to the goons was a very odd "threat."

"If you guys said that when Jabba was alive he would have fed you to the rancor...if it were alive as well."

Goons: "Um okay and if you talked that way to Darth Vader when he was alive then you guys would be dead." "Har har har good one Neekto!"
I was waiting for them to go back and forth with…

“I know what you are but what am i?”

:lol

Or:

"Maybe we should just kill you."

"If you displayed such insolence to Jabba when he was alive he would have fed you to his beast."

"Oh really like when Boushh threatened to kill him and he gave her a job??"

"Har har har Neekto's on a roll tonight!"

Just shows you that even having Lucas at the helm for film content was bad. Nothing ever progressive, just continually grinding on old material. The Jedi stuff is continually handled badly and that is honestly the real money maker for SW. No progressive world building, training, anything when it comes to the Force. Video games handle it way better. You would think executives would wake up to this fact. To hear a video game maker say that they like to refer to Jedi as Force users is simply retarded. They didn't even want him using Jedi and eventually gave in.

Kennedy gave power to new people who didn't understand SW, now new people have to rely on old material to make anything SW now.

I’m a simple man. I see Star Wars underworld stuff and I’m easy to please. Trailer could’ve been cooler but I’m keeping an open mind and looking forward to this.

Hammerhead and Trandoshans were not native to Tatooine... not like Sandpeople and Jawas. I have no problem with local natives. It's those dam same tourists all the time!!!
Agreed. There's a middle ground between using established world-building aesthetics for a given location and offering new designs for cinematic originality within that same location.

Lucas himself demonstrated this in the OT when using Tatooine twice within 3 films. That second time, he could've populated Jabba's palace with a majority of the same aliens from the ANH cantina, but instead he used those only sparingly (in the background for most shots). The palace scenes contain mostly all-new creature designs in the bulk of the frame count. That helped make it one of the more interesting and memorable sets from that trilogy. It was distinctive, and not just "Cantina 2.0."

Maybe they're holding back the new and creative/original designs from the trailer. But since most fans seem to have an insatiable appetite for nostalgia, I'd say the safest bet is that they're going to be fed large portions of the familiar. Those waiting for something fresh to feast on might have to settle for the occasional scraps here and there. :lol

In the trailer his face is not as wrinkled or damaged like on the Mandalorian . Did they give him a makeover

ESB and ROTJ didn't give away much in the way of new aliens in their teasers so I'm not really concerned about BOBF at this point. I'm sure we'll get our fair share of new faces like the blue guy, frog lady, cyclops, pirates that attacked the stolen truck and so on. The ST was pretty much nothing *but* new aliens which I actually found pretty annoying, lol. It somewhat diminished the feeling that those films were taking place in the same galaxy as the prior six.

RO was a nice combination of old and new, as was Solo (aside from the Dr. Evazan/Walrusman cameo in RO which was indeed lame.)

Looks like in his opening shot where the droid gives him the helmet. (Seems the top room in the palace if you compare the curtains in the balcony windows from the exterior shot) in his room there is a some kind of open tank.
Maybe that is a Bacta-Tank, where he (sleeps) and heals his scars , and grew his eyebrows back! :lol

I think the new RO alien designs were just generally more appealing than the new aliens in the other Disney-era films. Part of that is doing a good job of making them seem like a natural part of the established SW aesthetic. Some of the new designs in the ST didn't convey that nearly as well, IMO. The Canto Bight aliens being the most jarring (unfortunately).

It takes more than just putting new masks onto a dirty suit, or putting new masks onto Earth-like fancy/formal wardrobe. But any effort is at least appreciated. It's not an easy task since it requires not just originality but also artistry which can capture the imagination while "fitting in" when fully rendered.

Ah ..I didn’t think about the Bacta- tank healing factor..good call :lol..We never know..maybe Temura complained about being in the scared makeup and they decided since he is the star of the show now..they made it easier for him :lol

While the OT has some bad creature designs (primarily in ROTJ) for whatever reason, the quality/creativity/coolness factor of new SW creature designs rapidly declined with the PT, then dropped further with the ST and then leveled off a bit with RO and Mando (which have a few creature designs that are on-par with some of the better OT designs) and to a lesser degree Solo.

It shows you how good the designers were on the OT - McQ, Johnston, Nilo, Cobb, Tippett, Walas etc - versus those who came later, despite massive improvements in technology and budgets across the board.

No doubt ..they fixed his face

kind of bummed they took the uniqueness out of his appearance
