Yeah I'm still curious which red we're getting. The initial pre-order pic looked just about perfect, but then for the actual photos the red got super bright and intense, which doesn't look right at all.

I will advise you to ignore any screen caps color. Only the actual used prop can be used to label as Accurate.

I can show you many different screen caps with different colors, even when Janeway walked across the hall, her division color changed its tone as Janeway walked passed different lighting set up during filming.

The above 3 pictures all have different color grading. Check out the lighter or white color in those pictures than you will notice some kind of tint over them (variation of orange and teal tone - dark color is teal, light color with orange)

I won't even examine any prototype colors if the proto pictures were not taken from a Grey Card (neutral color) calibrated camera under 5500k diffused lighting.

I rely on my own eyes on color, others I will only examine colors in pictures with the above requirements and viewed with a Color Rite calibrated BenQ professional screen in a total dark room.

So, seriously, don't examine something that are not accurate (under a controlled environment) is a waste of time.

I will say this. As of today, I haven't received any complaints from the Trek uniform zealots sector except the huge amount of complaints with the previous released Spock uniform color, and the belt. They were all wrong. S3 uniform should not mixed with S1 belt, I did. Spock uniform was totally wrong too, very far away from any standard. This is why I NEVER brag about Spock uniform color and the S1 belt. My mistakes are laughable forever among uniform Trek fans.

I am well known among Trek uniform zealots to be extremely accurate with colors. They will be even more astonished with EXO-6 version of color selections. I guarantee no one from that sector could say EXO-6 Trek uniforms colors are wrong.

Show you an example. Top is set accurate Voyager command red, while the bottom is TNG simulated red. They might look the same to you from your screen but look at their color codes. There are aboit 40 or 50 more Reds in between these 2 Reds!

19-1862 TCX is the Voyager Command Red.

If I used Set Accurate color and Licensor says change it, I will stand my ground and wouldn't even hesitate to say I will quit if they try to force me to change any of EXO-6 Set Accurate color.

Really nice review of Picard here:

He's a real winner!!

I'm glad I watched that because I had no idea I could use the Starfleet Personnel file card as part of the display!

Are these other black plastic pieces that come along with the clear file card holder used to interlock the stands for a transporter effect?

BBTS said they’d have Data in stock “any time now” about a month ago…. Anybody else still waiting on them as well?

Well, I ordered FC Picard from BBTS, so if you guys haven't received "Data" as of yet, that does not bode well for a "soon" for Picard... :monkey2

My guess is Jeffrey Hunter's Captain Christopher Pike from the original Star Trek pilot, The Cage.
Only if the black wheelchair version! (seriously...) :lecture

Considering the 55th anniversary of TOS the "dude" might be Captain Kirk in his green wraparound.

Dream come true, if so.

Lots of things can be used with this stand design. Not only it can extend horizontally with multiple stands, it can expand vertically too, level up Data if he stands behind Picard so he won't be blocked. It is also the cover of container. Then it can also put LED Spot Lighting (I think I missed this part with the current stand. Small mod with the stand molds can do the trick).

I will add these parts in the future if the markets support it.

Do note that hex shape can maximize coverage of surface area (more and more company will use hex shape eventually)

The stand post can be installed along the 6 edges of the stand. When combined with other stand to form a transporter look alike, the post can be installed in the middle of this platform. This also means, you can make a bigger bi-folded backdrop (3 sides) from one end to another.

I like The Cage for what it is, and it’s an interesting footnote in the history of Star Trek.

Captain Pike is definitely worthy of a figure. I kind of like the different uniforms. I think he would look cool in figure form with his away team jacket.

I like all the options with the stands.

Nanjin, do we need to be concerned about color stain his neck like the QMX one? I still love the old QMX figure but I can only have him poses in certain positions in order to hide the stains.

....and I have to deal with this Klingon Tracking Number system. This has became my responsibility. So give me 1 more day on tracking numbers.

I just got a notice from our Customs, that a package is coming my way from China just has been cleared. I expect nothing else, and I was like "what? could it be Picard? already??"
But if you say, it`s a Klingon Tracking Number system, that explains things. My brother calls me a Klingon, so of corse a Klingon system will favour me)))

Some just want Star Trek 1/6 figures.

I want historic Star Trek figures. I am putting Trek Culture into them.

Truly accurate Star Trek 1/6 scale uniforms replicas.

Excellent to know. I worry where there is no reason to worry. ;)

Why do I see so much crabbing on BBTS on Data and Picard as they don't have stock by most of everyone who got it from them on this thread??

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! :taz

Shipping is done by slow boat from over seas and takes two/three months, the then it has to wait to be unloaded has there's a back up on the docks, stored in a Warehouse, sorted out and shipped out to your 1/6th store. I've posted on another thread about the delays happening and sorry if you didn't see it as it effects everything right now.

I've seen the equalness of complaints of various TF threads and if you guys can't for your products to arrive, then spend you money on something else please!!!

I'd love to see some swatches of the 'yellow' for the TNG tunics as most paint it a really bright yellow, whereas in the vast majority of shots I've seen it looks more of an ochre colour. Bright yellow looks really jarring and yet every figure I've seen has had it. You get that point where 'screen accurate' looks strange compared to how it looked 'on screen'. Probably further compounded by the US using NTSC where, in the UK, we use PAL. NTSC is jokingly referred to as Never Twice the Same Colour.

.....and the lighting of your viewing environment can also affect the way you see the colors on screen.

Every monitor is different in color grade. Simple example, go to Best Buy and look at their displaying monitors and you can surely see all monitors have different color, brightest, and satuation.

That's no way to have any correct color basing what “we” saw on screen.

I went through a process to extract “simulated” colors. This process needs a USD 2000 equipment to calibrate the viewing monitor but still it can only provide a “possible” results. (An animation company set up the monitor for me).

I dont think TNG operation color needs a “simulated” color option. We can pretty much see the correct color on our screen (fabrics' thread reflection was minimal, mostly were brightness intensity differences).

As of now, only considering this option for TNG command. I am yet to see the result.

That's all true,

Good reference for TNG can be hard to find as all photos are pre digital and have been scanned and then there are screencaps, which all vary according to the things you describe above. Not all of us are lucky enough to have been to conventions and seen original costumes in exhibitions.

We just have to go with what we're happy with and not get too anal when we see something that we don't think is right, for all we know, what we think is wrong is right.

Best way to observe the TNG command color is to watched the scenes when Picard or Riker walked out of the turbo lift at the bridge. One can see the Set Accurate color when they walked out. You will see Red, then Set Accurate burgundy (at the moment walking out), then Red again.

For those who kept telling me to use Grey for TMP Admiral uniform. You can forget about this. I WILL NOT use anything but the correct color. (One step away for me to say Over my Dead Body 😅) unless they show me an actual prop.
