All bets are off when it has "Mandalorian" tag in it. I have never seen such uncanny aggressiveness, even quite obsessive from Hot Toys towards particular SW line like this before.

Who knows, could be because they had their not so good experience with the Sequels products and maybe they thought Mando will do right instead.

I think it's personal for Howard Chan:

I will only make figures that have meaning or important in certain scenes. The fact is we most likely base the decision on whether the movie/ TV have good reception ( promotion) or not.

For example since Mandalorian is so close to ROTJ, it is easier for us to release figures from the OT. This is exactly what we were waiting for.

I think lots of fans are disappointed with the sequels. Even me I don’t have any desire to revisit them anytime soon. The sales were awful. Mando is like the dawn after the dark . Especially Luke, he was redeemed, unlike episode 8. Introducing new characters in one movie is not gonna leave an impression. In contrast, Mando’s Kuiil leaves you the impression of wisdom, a clear cut personality and very popular as well. If he were a movie character he would’ve been an extra. TV is good for new characters while revisiting old ones. My most anticipated shows are Obi-Wan and Book of Boba Fett.

If they did so, it would probably be out of my budget, but I would really like to see Sideshow or Hot Toys take on something like HasLabs, and garner funding up front for pieces like this, so there could be more unique or risky figures/bases/vehicles.

They’re talking about it now on Unsealed and Revealed and they’re talking about how they’re bringing back dioramas. The eye on the security droid also lights up. I am sold and really think this one will get made. It’s Mando…they’re going all in. It’s happening.

They do seem to be going all in for Mando so hopefully we will see this one, and others after it

He also said "it's very heavy".
I'll be surprised if they keep it heavy. Look at what happened to BP version 2 blacklight arch - styrofoam. There's no need to keep it heavy if it's made of plastic. Sideshow made some beautiful polystone dioramas way back and I see some out of China now and then; ASMUS and Phicen do some nice stuff in resin.

But I can't see HT risking it - look at the cheesy stand they had with figs like War Machine.

Doubtful this ever releases but stranger things have happened.

Wow, that's quite blunt.

Oh that's cool. I'd love for the door to be movable but I'm betting it won't.

..... But is he wrong, though? Nope. His remarks about how Kuill would have been treated in a film are 110% correct.

All this makes me wonder; if this actually happens, and I think there's a high probability that it will given how deep they are going into this line, perhaps we will see MORE dios? Imagine a Sarlacc Escape dio. Now there's a though to conjure with. Razor Crest interior dio? If this one here does well, they might go completely nuts.

Well, it's gotta be tough being stuck with merch nobody is buying. HASBRO was more polite but said pretty much the same.

Heck, I stopped at Rey #1 and Kylo #1; couldn't even get myself to get Finn at bargain price.
