Looks awesome! So damn excited!!! Going to make this the centrepiece of my collection!

Nice print. What printer did you get? I haven't got room for one yet until we move to a bigger house but I've got my eye on an Epax E10 for now.

Hi Dave

I opted for the Anycubic Mono X, I really wanted the Elegoo Saturn but they're having supply issues so this will be my 3rd Anycubic machine as the build quality and support is pretty spot on.

Almost there chaps, so sorry for such a long wait but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
It's all in the detail and paint app.....if you know what I mean :wink1:

PS, I flippin broke the screen whilst sanding it last night :slap, good news is it fits great, bad news is I have to print another....oh well

I really don't think anyone here is going to complain about the wait. I can't say more about this piece that everyone hasn't already. :lecture

Yeah, I've noticed that 3D printed parts are some of the most brittle plastic pieces I've ever encountered, so you have to be crazy careful with cutting or sanding.

Man, that is a pure work of art!!!

I know you'd be sick of hearing me say how much I've been hanging out for this thing my whole life, but I can honestly say, this will be my most treasured collectible ever.

Masterful...

Right guys apologies for the delay..... work is manic as always :panic: needed to get a couple of fully licenced prototypes over to the wonderful guys over at Big Chief Studios, which where collected this morning and now back on track.
A couple of swing bridges to finish off and ship then its full steam ahead with the Speeder.

I've still yet to create a screen and chatting to a guy from RPF who built a full size speeder and looks like I'll go down the route of vacuum forming.
Not got a vacuum former so will need to build myself one.

Was just looking back over this thread and couldn't believe we'd just past the 3 year mark - doesn't feel anywhere near that long!

I know Jas said he's not happy with the windscreen, but after looking at some of the earlier pics again, the early iterations seem pretty damn good.

Fingers crossed, this baby isn't too far away.

I'm curious as well. This has been three years in the making, I hope it still happens but jeez this has been a long wait. Hope Jas is doing alright.

He's posting to FB every now and then. Haven't seen any mention of the speeder, but it's appeared in a few posts for other things.

Can't really complain because no money has been taken but it's a bit frustrating how this seems to have been given very low priority.

I believe Jas works in a hospital so I think was majorly derailed by COVID in the UK and more recently I think there were issues with getting the windshield right. Very complex piece.

yeah sorry guys, been up to my eyeballs with my day job and for those of you who don’t know TB is right I do work in an extremely busy hospital (Medical Imaging & Diagnostic Radiology) and I also deal with Radiotherapy at a sister Site with links in the U.S and Europe and provide 24hr emergency on-call here in the UK so as you can imagine I‘ve had my hands full over the last 18Months :panic:😷.
For those of you who follow me on FB will see I’m finally getting back to customer builds and starting to ship the last few builds before the Landspeeder & Falcon Ramp. I’ve also been prototyping for the fabulous guys over at Big Chief Studios with Dr Who K9 & Daleks. Just to add to my workload, I’m an Advanced Carpenter & Joiner by trade so have been replacing all my old timber fascia & soffits at home which was planned for 2020 but working 15+ hour shifts during COVID put a stop to that. Back to the Landspeeder.....the screens are now sorted which I’m very happy with, the downside is I need to alter the cockpit slightly but don’t think it’ll have any major impact regards to timeframes. As you all know I very rarely take deposits, this is because I currently can’t commit to firm release dates (sorry). Hope this helps explain the delays guys and as always I really appreciate your patience.
