I know removing the undersuit from some of these figures has become popular, but not every figure needs it.

Some figures don't have restrictive undersuits or an undersuit at all.

I don't think I've seen complaints about articulation with this one. And it's not exactly a character that does a lot of gymnastics. Get it in-hand before worrying about it, I'd say.

If I wanted to buy an m33 body for the og mando, what is a reputable place to buy it from?

The couple people I know who have this figure have basically completely complained about the restrictive movement of this figure and how difficult it is to pose him. Like just getting into the poses in the promo pics.

Unfortunate if that's the case. But at the same time, as important as good articulation is, it feels like sometimes people really want to push these figures pretty far.

I tend to work with what we get without modifications, thouigh I don't really put figures in extreme poses. I guess mods are a must if you want to do that, though it would be good if Hot Toys could add bulk without limiting articulation for those people.

Not like the character is Spiderman anyway. He is a pretty bulky guy with bug bulky armour. Range of motion is going to be limited on a figure, as it would be actually wearing that thing.

Hm, looks like Sideshow's still receiving this figure in batches. I paid mine in full yesterday and there's nothing to indicate it's ready to ship yet. Just says I'll be charged shipping and taxes later.

Yep, exactly. As long as you can get him into a pose appropriate for the figure based on the way they would move, I'm good.

Fat suit removal is the new "swap it for a man of steel body". Like cool now its a dude in baggy clothes that can do the splits? :lol

Not knocking people that pose their figures like crazy. That's great, but some figures it's just not necessary.

:lol It really is. Definitely nothing against those mods, but it's really not a requirement for every figure. Especially for characters who aren't doing cartwheels.

Hahaha for real tho! I removed the fatsuit from my Durasteel/OG Mando because I feel like the slender build is more screen accurate to his season 1 look, but hoo boy them already-baggy pants looked like clown pants on him after. I had to tailor them, or else it was gonna bother me forever:

I can't imagine why anyone would want to remove the fatsuit from the "Heavy" Mando tho. He's a tank. He stand there and hold gun and look big, the end.

The even baggier pants on OG Mando without fat suit is what made me put mine back on. I suppose I could just cut it in certain places to allow better articulation but I?m just not that worried about

The complaints I've heard have been people trying to pose him in simple poses, like just carrying the gun well. It's probably not a full removal, but modification like many have done with the first two Mando figures.

Will be interesting to see how it goes.

The Heavy Mando shipped by Vantage from KGH is due for delivery today.

So, while it is EMS (delivered by DPD) the pandemic means it's still slower than regular airmail used to be. This will have been 8 days including the day KGH posted it, as opposed to about 5 days for regular airmail "before the dark times".

The Vantage Hellboy from Kit took 9 days.

Better than the 67 day Death Trooper though!

Great. Mine landed in France yesterday. Will likely have to wait 'til monday for a delivery though.

Paz Vizsla doesn't need it, he's supposed to be big and since he's a Heavy he shouldn't be as flexible as, say, Din Djarin.

I did modify both of my Mando's, although unlike many who simply remove the fat suit I removed pieces from where the thigh meets the hips, the knees, the elbows and the shoulders while maintaining the rest. The result is a Mando that's still filled out correctly while gaining more poseability.

He's arrived, and he's looking pretty great.

Having him in hand, and looking at him closely for the first time, I realise how asymmetrical his armour is. He looks pieced together from spare parts a bit like Iron Man Mk. I, which was the only Iron Man I bought because he looked like something from the pulp era.

The paintwork looks so good on this, with the grime, worn edges and chips. The gun doesn't look that great though, as it looks plasticky and quickly and simply painted.

At first it was looking impossible to clip the stand around his waist with the ammunition plugged in, but once I unplugged it I found the spot:

This was the pairing I imagined from the beginning, but the light blue accents on the Heavy Mando are so little by comparison:
