Curious, do you think they could actually go there and give us the flying Kenner Alien Queen ? Or the marine that came with that huge warrior exoskeleton ?

After the Guardian Predator box cover i think, yes thats a 'easter-egg'.
And remember the Genocide alien queen. Same body like the Aliens Queen just new head (and color).
For the fyling queen need just new wing sculpt. But the queen is bigger and more expensive. The last queen, the ALIEN RESURRECTION queen was successful?

Its sad to see how Ash's head sculpt ended up. I will buy this figurine anyway, but it would be nice if someone made an accurate custom head.

I'm intrigued as to why they went back to the old style paint apps...

You know...what it lacks in being Ash, it makes up for in being Trevor Steedman! May have to grab one just to update my custom Wierzbowski...

That's right they've clearly have done a horrible job with likenesses, imagine what the great McFarlane Toys could do, just look at that amazing Ben Affleck likeness. :rotfl

The prototype wasn't exactly a bang-on likeness in the first place. The drop-off was no more or less than I'd expect. I'm happy enough with it.

absolutely agreed with all three statements.

Are the first couple waves of the 40th Anniversary collection impossible to find now? I passed initially, but now kind of want to collect the line and am unable to find anything beyond eBay (except for the upcoming wave).

I agree with both of you, I don't think they're horrible likenesses either, I was just trying to point out that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Do we have the right to complain, yes, but I'm just saying that sometimes we need to remember that at some point Neca will stop making these old properties that we love and I can't think of anyone that would be willing to go as deep on this 42 year old movie as Neca has done.

Hasbro and Mattel, no, Figuarts and Mafex are only willing to do the alien (I don't think they're going to sell a $90.00 Brett figure anytime soon) McFarlane is the only viable option and he has the whole DC license and just keeps making variations of Batman.

I'm just not sure if we will ever get some of these characters again from another company, but I do hope to be wrong and that in the future better versions will come along.

I haven't seen any Alien 40th Ann figures in the stores in the last couple of months.

Picked up Ash today, very happy with the figure even though the likeness is not perfect.

at least all Ashes i see here are painted normally.
mine has his eyes paint printed maybe 0.5 mm lower than it should be.
that makes him look very much like Peter Saarsgard.

Somebody asked NECA on twitter "Any chance we?ll get Dallas, Lambert and Kane sans compression suits?! The lineup would look even cooler that way! Maybe wave 5???"

NECA responded "Hoping we can continue. Have somethings ahead of it but perhaps we can get back for more"

It would be beyond idiotic if they don't do those.

What are the chances of a non-exclusive Ash re-release down the road? Don't wanna pay $50 bucks (or more) for this!

Not likely... unless they decide to do an infirmary version with the surgical outfit, but that is so niche that it would probably be some kind of exclusive as well.
