I don't know why people want die cast parts on Mando figures. You can't see the joints so I am guessing people want die cast armor. The plastic bodies can't handle die cast armour that well over time.

I own all the diecast IM figures and the diecast is meaningless to me, i like the design more than the material they are made out of. I mean they are still 80% (give or take) plastic.

Die cast isn?t a necessity, just a bonus. The base annoys me. It?s too small for such a chunky figure. Even in a Museum pose, the rod would have to be severely bent to even have the slightest chance of being usable.

?? you can slide the gripper down the flex rod.

I know that. The figure is deeper than the base. Combined with the attachment from jetpack to gun, there?s simply no room. I?ll take pics later.

The reason why the base isn't a problem for me is I don't display my figures with bases in general.

I can understand that it's a problem for you.

I own the Tamashi C3-PO which is almost all diecast and it's a better figure for it. But yes it's a nice bonus but not a necessity.

Diecast parts would have been a nice touch.
But for most of the figures I don't really expect that. So not a con for me.
And diecast parts mean higher price. So definitely not necessary.
But like I said, it's just me. That's why I'm glad those are the only "cons" in your eyes :)

I would never think diecast is necessary for these Mando figures. TBH the only SW figure I think it would work with is C3PO.

But I really do appreciate my diecast IM/WM figures.
I do love the weight and I totally understand it really doesnt add much look wise, but to feel the figure and the cold feel of heavy diecast is great. I also collect some Fans Toys Transformers and they make great use of Diecast.

So it depends on the figure for me. Iron Man/War Machine or bots in general yeah. But for heavy Mando or troopers does not make sense.

Yeah, the armor pieces of an Iron Man/War Machine figure is an apples to oranges comparison to armor pieces on Mando's.

While I'd never buy a plastic Iron Man again, I don't need any metal on my Mando's. I wish Sideshow would hurry up with this guy already. Someone post more pics:lol

Me too, i have their R2 also. I consider those the only true diecast figures that i own. I still consider my "diecast" IM/WM figures more a gimmick than anything.

I am looking forward to this guy, looks perfect

Are you not afraid of the figures tipping or falling down?

As a matter of fact, I am.

But my shelves are not high enough. And Hot Toys figures have usually good balance depending on the pose.

Nothing has happend since three years. I hope it remains so :D

There is an Unsealed and Delivered video set to air on 02/8/21 on Youtube, looks like it will be arriving in the SS warehouse soon.

Skimmed through it and they were ok. Nothing to make me wanna watch another video of theirs. Luckily, this figure sells itself.

Will be interesting to see if this is as limited a release as some folks are saying. Buy it now or be sad later if you want it. I think Sideshow may be the last retailer that still has stock.

Me too.

Aside from the fact that it's indeed a great release, the possible low production run is also one of the reasons why I pre-ordered it.

I just got notification that this will be charging tomorrow! I normally get the notification a week in advance and then again right before, but this time it just came out of the blue! Awesome!
