What's the usual outcome of having to contact a smaller retailer like Alter Ego about Hot Toys replacements/defects? I imagine they can't have many (if any) replacements available per product.

As far as i know you contact AE with the problem then they contact sideshow directly with the issue and they get replacement parts/figure from sideshow and send them too you as your replacement.

Not really. They are a waste of resources on most figures anyway. On this figure, even more so.
You can edit the blade on later, or use flourescent acrylic and light it with a UV lamp from off camera.

Agreed, they look crap honestly and it's usually a pain in the arse to swap the arms.

Yeah unless they finally get it together and offer a way to remotely turn on the lights, I'd much rather forgo the light up features.

They may not be totally convincing, but I do think the sabers look a whole lot cooler lit up than just as dark pieces of plastic. But I agree HT definitely needs to find a better and more convenient way to activate them.

id rather have light up light saber arms than seamless arms that will no doubt crack

I must admit i have no attachment to this character, primarily cause i never watched the "cartoons"(i've seen bits n pieces) i'm aware Ahsoka has become popular amongst Star Wars fans as well as some of the background Clonetroopers, but i'm more of a live action Star Wars fan and had no problem jelling with new characters from The Mandalorian.
Perhaps if Ahsoka appears in one of the upcoming live action disney plus series i may peak an interest then?
The Ahsoka figure produced by Hot Toys does look very good and the design of her character appeals to me...so if they ever introduce Ahsoka to live action i might become a fan?

The more I sit with these images, the more I think the sculpt looks great. It?s exactly what I?d expect the realistic live action face to look like (other than Rosario). So happy with these. Worried about the arms, but still happy this is coming. As for the light ups, ofc id love them... but I don?t use them lol. We need a remote. Otherwise it?s useless for me.
