Wow great news, the releases are coming through fast!

I imagine Thranduil must be a reissue of the armored version which would be good for me as I missed out on the first run.

I hope its Coronation Arwen just because I'd like to get a Coronation Aragorn one day to pair it with.

If GtW is as stunning as GtG then its a must buy.

It's great you are continuing the line, but I am shocked that you haven't released a Gollum yet. He is such an important character and the one I am most wanting to add to the collection.

I'm probably one of the few who likes the original GtW. All I needed would be an updated head sculpt and I would be good to go. "Crown" series version should be amazing but very pricey. What a dilemma...

It's great you are continuing the line, but I am shocked that you haven't released a Gollum yet. He is such an important character and the one I am most wanting to add to the collection.

Yeah, he is the figure that I'm most looking forward to that hasn't been released yet. Such an important part of LOTR and The Hobbit. Would really like to see a two pack of Gollum/Smeagol, but two heads would work also.

I thought he'd be new - seemed like ASMUS was saying a new Thranduil had been in planning for a while. Not that I don't luv the BOFA version but IMO the look of the Elven King with the thorn crown is more iconic.

Plus good to display with Thorin. Or Legolas. I wish they would do Mirkwood Legolas.

They should have 2 heads with Thranduil and include the scar portrait.

I think they might have just tweaked the sculpt or hair or production process. Someone on the boards bought a Thranduil on eBay a while back and noticed some slight differences in the head sculpt and asked about it here. Asmus responded with something about a re-release coming and that one of the them must have gotten out early somehow. Do not quote them on that. It is me paraphrasing from memory on posts from months ago. It might have been as far back as the end of last year. Plus their plans may have changed since then.

you may want to throw out a rough price on what the throne is going to cost. i have a suspicion that once collectors see the price they may not be so keen on getting it.

^ Good point. If it happens and throne does get released, hopefully it would be either as a deluxe set (and a regular release without) or just as a stand alone (LE?) accessory piece - I only want the figure as I don't have space for something that big.

I am in for Thranduil 2.0 and the throne as long as I can afford it. LOTR characters trump Hobbit for me so if it I am forced to choose between them but as long as it is spaced out hopefully I can get them all. Besides for the odd Hot Toys figure here or there this has become the one 1/6 line I collect.

The Throne will be no way less than 500 USD alone, it is too big.
Personally I don't see how it can be sold over 200 copies .

We are paying close attention to Weta's price and production number,
but it is not up yet. It is not hard to guess they must have met the problem of pricing,

Will we see any prototypes of Thranduil 2.0 soon? Will he come with his cloak? Will his large crown he wears in throne room be removable?
Are you still reissuing the original armored version too?
