Yeah... so i guess that mean's I CAN'T switch out with the helmeted head from the 1st cap marv. :banghead I was banking on that since I hate that hair style, but I prefer this suit to the original.

Ohh no, I was planning to do that. Oh well save $100++ on the helmeted hs.

You prefer an exposed neck joint on the Endgame figure? I am overjoyed its not another Hot Toys figure ruined by an ugly exposed neck joint. When I first saw the preview pics I looked carefully to make sure hot toys were not just photoshopping out the neck joint.

The first body has the neck built in. This one the neck is attached to the head.

IDK about that. There's definitely a blue neck section as part of the helmeted head. The neck piece for the regular sculpt may be separate, but it should still be removable. Maybe Zurdo or someone else can clarify...

I don't believe this is correct. The helmeted head has a neck built in, just like this one does. There's no reason the new figure couldn't accept that part. And vice versa, the old can use the new figure's sculpt.

You can remove the neck on the first figure. The masked head basically has a fixed neck like the new sculpt, but I think it has a unique connector on the body. Not sure if its removable, so it might still need some modding.

The neck is removable. Check the instruction sheet at the 2:21 mark...

Of course the neck is removable on the first version. How else would you be able to swap in the helmet sculpt, which includes its own sculpted neck.

You and I know that, but it may not be as evident to relatively new collectors, especially not having it in hand. It was easy enough to find & provide the proof needed to put the question to rest.

It looks like the part thats in the body is a socket (?) But we don't know if the new headsculpt needs to connect to a ball joint, which isn't there.

You can see what i mean at 8:54

I suspect they are using the exact same body, so the connection would be identical on both heads. So in summary, I think the new Captain Marvel head and the masked head can only connect to Captain Marvel bodies. Someone will have to confirm this.

Yeah I know you can't stand the sight of any joints whatsoever, but personally this is one case where I would have preferred being able to angle the head for more expressive kinds of poses. As this figure is already going to look stiff and rigid enough with that solid torso.

You might just be right. On hot toys website it says the body is "newly developed" for solo cap Marv, but doesn't say that for endgame Marv and has the same description otherwise. Here's hoping they're the same.

I am very tempted by this. Any Captain Marvel expert have an opinion how she could look in the next film ?

Same costume ?
Will she keep the short hair ?
Does she have any other famous looks from the comics ?

Just trying to determine if this is as good as it could get or not ?

You never know. The next movie she is in is to far off to even guess and she will be in mutiple films so we will get mutiple looks just like everyone else in the MCU. Even if she has a better look you don't know if HT will make it or if they make it will it look as good.

With the sash, this one is a pretty good representation of her most iconic look in the comics, albeit with the color scheme inverted. She's had short hair for quite a while too, so that's another point in this one's favor. If they decide to keep her with short hair in the MCU (as I suspect) I would think BL will actually cut her hair (as opposed to that Endgame wig). So she'll likely look better going forward, but there's no guarantee that HT will deliver another sculpt on par with this one.

She looks so funny carrying around that giant hand. " Anyone wanna hi-five? Wanda, hi-five? Come on! Ok rock paper scissors, I go first! Who needs their back scratched? Back Scratcha!" :lol

Even if it?s the same or better, I bet it will be $20 more expensive by then or even $40. Capt Marvel 2 is a 2022 movie, we?ll only get it in 2023 earliest. Hot toys seems to raise their prices every year now.
So I think it?s a great time to get this figure if you like how it looks.
For me this is the capt marvel i love in the comics and am getting it. If the second solo movie is better, can always sell this one for the new one.

Yep, as aforementioned we won't know about her look in the upcoming films until later on. I think it would depend in what time frame the films take place. If Captain Marvel 2 takes place right after the events of EG, then perhaps she will keep the same suit, but ah well we'll see what happens. Though as with other characters, suit changes are commonplace so it's more so probable she'll change looks, even if subtly. I do agree her EG suit is more reminiscent of the comics. However for me I'm all in for all her versions!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :):) :) :) :) :) :)

The EG colors could be considered an homage to the comic Mar-vell suit

Yeah! I was thinking that as well, I think it was a tribute to him.
