Got the cape by Jaxxon in on the figure. So much better with the length and the drape over the shoulders. Thanks so much. Anyone thinking about his capes they are great. I got the Batman Returns cape as well. View attachment 441745

Definitely gonna have to get myself one of these capes! How does it look with the dark blue cowl? I know Dean Knight felt the need to repaint his.

I know in the game the cowl was blue and darkened as it flowed toward the cape. I think it looks great as it is with the new cape. I am much happier with the length and the shoulders being covered now makes it look more imposing. Can pose him with the cape draped around him.

Can anyone verify that their VGM18's knee joints can still hold a 90 degree bend? I see in online reviews from 4 years ago that the knees DO hold a right angle bend, but I just opened a factory sealed AC Batman and the knees bounce back to only about 30 degree bends. I'm wondering if over time this is happening to all the knee joints out there on this figure no matter what, or if I got a bad one.

I don't know about knees but I do know for a fact that the feet joins loosen up over time and that's easily fixable with some clear nail polish. Since they feet are a separate piece from the boots and support most of the weight, they go loose very quickly. Simply apply the nail polish on both sides of both of the feet pegs, leave them overnight and you'll have a Batman ready to stand by himself again.

So we do this without taking the feet off?

I'd love to be able to have this guy off his stand without falling over constantly.

No, you'll have to remove the feet and both pegs (easy!). Wipe a thin later of clear nail polish on all 4 ball joints, make sure it's not too thick as it might dry or it will come off the peg when you try to plug it back in. Wait overnight and plug them back in. Be careful as the layer of nail polish would make the pegs tighter than before.

Not being able to stand is the worst thing about this figure and I'm glad it's easily fixable.

sj2106, would you (or anyone with this figure accessible) be able and willing to bend your figure’s knees 90 degrees and see if they hold the pose?

I modded and repainted my one. Its a exellent figure out the box but it needed the arms sorting so they can lay closer to the body.

Thinking about modifying this guy, but want to know what exactly is different, there's just something off about him when compared to the prototype. Is it the body (actual product looks bloated while prototype looks more proportioned), paint app on the cowl? First and last pics are in-hand product. I know what you mean about it looking bloated compared to the proto pics. Once the cape is swapped out and the under arms removed it doesn?t look bloated any more

I modded mine after I saw the video deanknight did. Just waiting on my cape from Jaxon Xu. First time I ever modded a hot toys to this extent, but this one benefits so much from doing it. Not recommended if you wanna resell at some point because the mods to achieve that look are kind of heavy.

That is truly stunning!!!

What paint did you use to get such a matte finish on the cowl? I used a matte black acrylic on mine but it still has a shine I wish wasn't there.
Did you give the grey parts a silver wash or is that just he lighting?

I wish they would do an Origins and Asylum version. And give us some of the other characters like they did with Joker and Deathstroke. Honestly their VGM Batman universe figures have been my favorites in my collection.
