Thanks so much for the kind words guys always nice to see
The loyal and faithful LOTR bunch here that get excited by the figures!

I do have to continue to give asmus props for delivering an ambitious and high quality figure in gimli and an excellent base to work off of.

Unlike all of their other figures this one I didn’t even strip all the hair off and do from scratch.

The first thing I did is take corse sandpaper to the whole beard and hair this took away that synthetic shiny effect of the stock and made it more frizzy.

Secondly I thinned out the beard and hair significantly by pulling or cutting a lot off.

Then I applied corse yak hair to the beard, mustache and sides of cheeks referencing the film for accuracy and affixing or blending into the braids. Then I applied a surface level of yak hair to the head hair and retied the ponytail. Finally I added the hair to the front and his hairline and then the eyebrows.

There is also minor paint enhancements and skin marks applied.

I removed the second neck adapter and padded out his chest and I also replaced the chain mail. It’s real metal but if I find a smaller link chain mail i may redo the skirt one day.

That’s a steal on Gimli. May have to look into Arwen if she didn’t sell out already

There are still 2 left.

Whoever plans on purchasing one: If you subscribe to their email list before you purchase, they give you a 15% off code that is good for your purchase - I was able to use it on Arwen to get a total of 30% off. It didn't work at checkout but i emailed them and they applied it.

He looks so awesome with real metal mail:

As promised more pics of Gimli

I'm very excited about the next LOTR I'm working on... it's going to be epic. I wanted to be the first to do it but I'm sure I won't be the last. Any guesses who's up next!?

Following that one I'm gonna do all 4 hobbits and that's it for now :)

Wow Raymond, best Gimli I’ve seen. Awesome job all around!

On a side note, I wish all rooted haired figures had their eyebrows done too.
