This thread is like a microcosm of how negativity thrives on the internet. When the show wasn't controversial, ie, not subverting expectations, there was very little traffic on this topic. A episode would come out, people would comment and it would die down after a day or two. Throw in a twist that many don't like, or leave a coffee cup (that almost nobody noticed when they watched the show) in a shot and this pages explodes like wild fire, pun intended.

The show is ending and I seem to recall so much negativity with other shows that didn't end the way people had wanted. LOST had tonnes of negativity and I still see comments today about its finale and yet I was one of the fans that loved the ending. HIMYM was another one I liked because I had always assumed the mother had died or they had divorced. But the majority of fans hated that twist at the end.

Once a show gets to its final season you just see a lot more talk and negativity about them imo. But once it is done people move on to the next thing.

This last episode better **** me Tiffany cufflinks

Reaction to the leaks are making me nervous, not expecting a satisfying conclusion if the previous few episodes are an indicator.

I'll be watching a day later than usual. Waiting for my brother and his fiancee to come back from holidays, we have been watching it as a group since last season, don't want to break that for the very last episode. Gonna be tough avoiding the thread and youtube.

Have friends over, fired up the grill. We're ready to say goodbye to what has been an incredible series. Come what may!

Me and the wife have everything set up in advance. We've been talking about this all week and all day. We'll see if some of her predictions will be correct.... She's telling me "Winter is here," which she says is referring to Jon Snow... Whom she still thinks will be a surprise villain at the end. So many hidden meanings.... All coming to a close.

1 hour and counting...… :impatient:

Who's left?

Grey Worm
Dany
Drogon

Jon
Sansa
Arya
Bran

Brienne

Tyrion

Bronn

...Tormund and Ghost are presumably safely away headed North of the Wall...

I'm thinking Bran and Sansa survive. Really not sure about everyone else although I'm guessing Jon and Tyrion will die.

That wasn’t that bad. I’m fine with it even. People online who read the spoilers made it sound like it was going to be one jump the shark plot resolution after another.
