I do hope the WW will be available on ebay once released. I do want him.

I haven't planned on POing anything from ThreeZero direct; there always seems to be stock available much like HT. But I wonder if the hype for the final season will change that?

I'm hesitant to PO Cersei only because I want to see improvement in the final product. Of course, then it might be too late.

To me the best option is preordering from them. You can easily find them later on eBay and other sites, but there's usually an increase of price, specially in Deluxe versions. For example, Arya is going on eBay for $206, that's $28 more than on preorder. Previous releases are really expensive.

Yeah, I see that, but Arya is still early. There was a time that the early releases all dropped. I got Sandor for $140 shipped. I almost got Jaime for $130. Arya is just shipping now so I imagine the will be left-overs for lower prices. Plus eBay's 15% days.

But the deluxes are usually tough to find though, you are right. I would like, but don't need, the WW skirt if it comes down to that.

Cersei has no deluxe, which is good.

If ThreeZero continues to improve as it has with the WW then I'll likely start POing directly.

I used to order direct from them. Then the post office lost my Daryl Dixon fig. 3Z was not helpful. Had to file a claim with USPS and I think 3Z did the same. Over a month went by of back and forth. Probably almost 2 months passed and finally I got a crushed box in the mail. Fortunately the figure was fine only the box was damaged. The tracking never updated to delivered and I never got so much as an "I'm sorry" from 3Z. If you want to be safe, order from a US retailer.

I think the poor prototype Arya photos had to hurt sales. In addition to the figure I ordered through TZ, I grabbed a parted out body and sword for making a Season 7 version before that becomes hard to get.

Has anyone here ordered from KG Hobby? I know they've been around for a while and usually stock these bootleg figures. They always give discounts ,etc.

Also, what are the finished products like for Xensation?

Had a VERY similar problem with them. My Deanarys Box was totally smashed! The fig and contents were good and I eventually got a new box from them after months of email complaints.

TZ figures aren't bootlegs? They're fully licensed.

Arya turned out better than I expected. Hopefully Cersei improves as well, I never liked her proto much but I would love to have her next to Jaime.

KG hobby are excellent in my experience.

No idea about Xensation, really interested to see how Tywin turns out...and when he turns up.

Thanks for the reply.

I was talking about the Tywin Xensation figure.

Well, Toy Fair NY 2019 is coming to a close. I'm disappointed Threezero didn't reveal any new protos for this line. Especially with the hype building for the final season. Would have been a great time to do so. :(

Threezero really should make Sopranos figures. It was the series that is largely responsible for the high budget TV show trend and the figures would be mostly simple. They also clearly already have a relationship with HBO. Hope it is not too late.

Most shows with ‘normal’ dressed people don’t merchandise well. Even X-files can barely merchandise Mulder and Scully. Sopranos just doesn’t lend itself to figures. Granted there are those of us that don’t care if it’s just a bunch of fat middle aged men in suits if we are fans of the shows and characters. For mass retail it’s missing the “action” part of action figure. GoT has the whole fantasy and swords thing going for it. That sells. Sopranos is just too far removed to be a big seller now. During its height you might have been able to do it. If/when that reboot/prequel becomes a thing you might get enough interest to get a few “classic” figures made alongside the new shows figures. I still doubt that would happen but that would be the most likely time for anything to happen.

If anybody was going to do a Sopranos license, I think the line would be one figure deep. You could probably do a limited run of Gandolfini, but I can't see it going beyond that. Tony's the signature character. And even then, I doubt they'd move a ton of them.

Plus, to do it right, you'd need to engineer a whole new body. (Not sure collectors would accept a fat suit these days.) And on top of that, I think I read somewhere that back in the day (i.e., before Game of Thrones), HBO didn't include merchandising/likeness rights in their actor contracts, so you'd likely also need to negotiate with HBO and the estate. So it would likely be a lot of investment for a limited payoff.

All that said, I'd totally buy one!

Even something as modern as the x-men franchises don’t include likeness rights. Ever wonder why HT has only released Wolverines or why Deadpool doesn’t have an unmasked head? I’ve seen so many attempts at figures fail because they have the film rights but not the actors rights. Many Draculas look nothing like Bela Lugosi for a reason. Having to jump thru 2 hoops usually kills a project before it even happens.
