Will SSC make figures based on the new CW?

In the case of Clone Wars, I really don't think that their 12" line is the best format to showcase the character design, and if Lucas isn't forcing them to do it then I say they just get to work giving us other stuff (including variant clones and stormtroopers now that they have the right body).

I disagree. I think the 1/6 line is the perfect place to highlight Clone War characters because in essence they are variants. People love Clones for example but instead of getting the Lime Green variant like Hasbro does, SSC could easily offer actual Clones like Oddball, Rex, Fox, Cody and still offer clones while still highlighting the new license. Its win-win.

I don't think Lucas is forcing Sideshow to focus on the Clone Wars to the extent that we are seeing with other companies.

We don't know that yet. SSC usually takes their time with their releases. Just because they aren't being offered when the film premieres doesn't mean they won't because remember the series is about 100 episodes right? That's a long time to offer stuff.

Casino Royale Daniel Craig is a great example of a figure that needed to be made 2 years ago.

True, but they can rectify that mistake with Quantum of Solace if they still have the licensing.

I could see them doing some, but most likely a realistic version like Illum Padme and Asajj.

Yes, they've said in the past they will only do "live-action-style" figures.

I would like to see them make an Anakin with longer hair between II and III (After they make the AOTC version of course).

I think we will see our fair share of variants and repaints of clones from Sideshow, but in a realistic style and not the animated/CGI versions from the Clone Wars.

I agree completely. I think anything done from Clone Wars will be realistic as SSC has already said so although I would like to see Anakin in this vein. Although Obi might be able to be kitbashed....

I just hope they do Shaak Ti before they make Ahsoka.

I would like to see them do Ahsoka eventually, as well as young Anakin, and young Boba.

I think SSC will continue to apply Star Wars movie looks to CW designs as with Padme, Obi-Wan and Asajj, probably not too heavily, but I don't think we've seen the last. I expect we'll see Rex to coincide with Obi-Wan, and Anakin to go with Obi-Wan as well, also because of his relevance to the saga.

I seriously hope not. Imagine, when the live-action TV series is out, we did be getting even lesser attention on the 6 movies.
