it's for two reasons, to many people had the eu ruiend for them by the crappy marve comics int the 70's and 80's so they are unwilling to try anything new.
and two, he's also a relatively new character, and as such most people don't know the awesomness that is A'sharad Hett

Correct, they are trained by the Empire though, and they all wear cool armour and have the same, but yet somehow different silver lightsabers...

true, but by this point ( before Kryat interfeers) the empire is less what it was in Lukes time, and just a different government. There was even peace ( more or less) Between the republic and the empire.
