What is the posting minimum to graduate from "newb" status?

For example, are you a "newb" is your post count is less than . . .

< 100?
< 500?
< 1000?
< 1500?

<1000, and/or a profile that is less than 2 years old.

so a guy with >1000 posts, but hasn't been here MORE than 2 years is still new to the hobby... he just posts ALOT

However, a guy with <100 posts, but has been a member for more than 2 years is not, he just Lurks primarly.

I'd say BOTH of these can be circumvented if the poster in question ALREADY has a 1/6th or statue/dio collection that numbers more than 100 pieces, however.

That's the part that really matters. Relevent, correct knowledge of how the hobby works. the "newbs" are the ones who start 30+ threads about " do you think hot toys will make figures of ______" when we already know that if it's not batman or Iron man, the ods are likely not good for any time soon. We also see people in the SW thread, again, for Hot toys, taking Howard chan at his word and BELIEVING we will see Their Anakin at SDCC, and get a preorder by october, with the figure shipping in December ( this is an ACTUAL example from last week) Followed by showing han in january, and having him ship before the end of the year.

These newbies, for example, have not been around long enough yet, to know that Hot toys is FAMOUS for Delays, questionable QA, and not so great CS.

That's just an example.
