I'm really not loving the Superman knowing a HT figure is on the way, but I am seriously considering Luthor. He looks pretty solid, and I have a feeling HT will be one and done after their Reeve Superman. In the mean time Lex'll be hanging out with HT's Routh Superman and Jor-El figures.

I think the Mattel figure is good for a Mattel figure. Not up to the Hot Toys standard, but no one would expect that. The Lex on the other hand, is a must buy imo. It's the best Lex (maybe the only Lex?) available from the Reeve movies. Plus, there's no guarantee that HT will make a Lex. It might just be Superman.

Well, then I think a repaint would be a good idea to see how much better we could make the Mattel Lex Luthor head sculpt. Hey, it's worth a shot!

Man! MAtty is butt-bacwards. Their figures originated from Ca. then they shipped it off to Nevada to their new shipping company only to send it back here to California for my order.

Anyway, Congrats, CArthut! lex looks good and that suit is just classic. it fits better than i had hoped.

Yeah matty shipping sux now USPS parcel post paid compare to UPS ground i'm from Vegas UPS usually arrives the next day from matty now USPS we have to wait around 4 to 5 days

Does lex have Zod's body where he can fold his arms together? not sure if you have zod but it has two extra articulations across the chest to allow the bend.

Got my Lex Luthor yesterday

just received my copy of Luthor. I futzed with the suit a little, to make it fit better, changed the wig to another style.

i am changing body, so a few things i noticed to note. The hole in the head for the neck peg is too forward so it limits the movement to side to side only. He'll end up always looking slightly up. The suit lapel is not sewn in, so it tends to open up and musses up the lapel shape. i used a pin to try and retain the lapel more tighter. The flower should be in the lapel of the suit.

i'll post the modified figure on the custom thread.
