yeah, I think that's where it gets abit tricky. All those clones on Kashyyyk were also 41st, but we never saw them wear the gray/white armor there, so maybe some did off-screen somewhere? I guess there's still alot of EU stuff to be written to take care of all the technical stuff:dunno

Wookieepedia:
Two years later, the 41st Elite saw heavy action in the Battle of Kashyyyk against the droid invasion force sent to seize the world. There, the clone troopers of the 41st Elite fought alongside Wookiee warriors and a small clique of Jedi to a near standstill against the Confederacy.

While most of their men were transferred to Kashyyyk, a detachment of the 41st Elite was sent to assist in the Battle of Utapau, perhaps to smooth relationships with the native Pau'ans. 41st Elite Corps troops open fire on CIS forces during the Battle of Kashyyyk.

However, when Palpatine initiated Order 66, Commander Gree and his soldiers promptly turned on the Jedi, killing Luminara Unduli. Master Yoda, however, killed Gree and a swamp trooper and managed to escape with the help of Chewbacca and Tarfful. On Utapau, the 41st Elite assisted in interning several Pau'ans for reasons unknown.

It is likely that following the execution of the Order 66, the 41st Elite completed its operations against the remaining droid forces, and then pulled out of Kashyyyk.

Looking for the Battalion left on Coruscant. EDIT: Couldn't find it but in Traviss' novels, which clearly depict Order 66 on Coruscant, she repeatedly mentions the 41st and their gray armor.

speaking of which, I keep hearing about Karen Traviss. Are her stories just all about clones troopers? because if they are, I'm really interested in reading some new stories about Clones.

And more great pics, Josh. I'm not at 100% excited until I see pics on top of the knitted coaster or whatever they're called:lol

The best. Unfortunately, she threw a tempertantrum over some inconsistencies between The Clone Wars and her novels involving Mandalorians so her work will never be finished (by her at least). This is by no means a reason not to read her works. Everybody who loves clones should read her Republic Commando novels (including Imperial Commando) and even pick up her other Clone Wars novel. It gives life to the white jobs where nobody else had really cared to and even inspired several of the clone-based episodes in the animated series.

Thank you! I'm always glad that the doily helps inspire people to get excited about these awesome pieces. :hi5:

I didn't know there was a fall out between Lucas and her. That sucks. She's a great writer and I really enjoy her works. She's been writing the Gears of War books as well.

cool, thanks:hi5: I remember reading about her having a fallout over at the Dented Helmet, but I paid no attention to it since I didn't really care at the time. But I just bought vol 1 & 2 of the Republic Commandos Hardcovers. Hard Contact & Triple Zero are vol. 1, while vol. 2 has True Colors and Order 66. Can't wait to start reading:impatient:

Everyone knows you are the most overrated type-A personality this board has ever seen, Richard.

Alright kids...let's take it down a notch shall we?

Gallery of shots looks great, Josh.

Now that I've had a chance to really look at this figure, it's looking pretty good. Granted, it's not quite what's on the box, but it's not like it ended up with bug eyes and green hair or something...:lol

It's just the"cleanest" of the clones we've gotten. I'll get some additonal shots up soon.

While the 501st may have the higher "profile", I think I like the 41st clone a little better as a figure. This one looks good, but that gray industrial-inspired deco on the 41st just really stands out.

And...I really hope Sideshow makes those thigh-support stands available separately soon...I want them for my other clones....

Yeah, they need to sell those body suits and stands separately.....they are sharp....the 41st Clone is my fav out of them all thus far...really sharp looking

I'd probably pick up a few stands, but don't have the patience to do a whole swap just for the undersuit. I can live with having the older ones on the ones I already have. I do hope Rex & Cody get the new ones, but I'm pretty sure they will

Yeah I'd be down for buying the new stands. Like you I'm cool with the other clones being the way they are.

Sign me up for some body suits. :wave But keep the new stands. I'm having difficulty getting my 501st to balance in the more aggressive poses that I like.

LOL...Have I missed that Sideshow has established a pattern of offering parts like this to us separately so that we can alter their figures?
