New 15 min developer interview vid....looking good! In another interview, it was indicated that you can turn the objects indicators OFF....so heck yeah!

Looks not bad. l thought you had to avoid the rain, eing able to be in it is much better. Silent Hill 2 will remain the best though i'm sure.

Can't believe the game's release is only a month away or so now.

Can't wait for this!!! Had the privilege of playing through Silent Hill 1 (PS1) & 2 (X-Box), and I hope Downpour will be as enthralling as those 2 games

Love the ambient music and noise in the background........Replaying Alan Wake & killing time waiting for this one. Thanks for the vid, Plasmid!

At 1:09, looks like the character is channeling Chuck Norris!

On one of the fan forums for this game, its been stated by devs that all the glowing effects and button displays can be turned off

If I had one concern its the apparent vsync issue or screen tear present - nothing kills the immersion more for me - probably an issue in the PS3 version, as this clearly is that version and the inferior build typically for most games

Samples of the entire Downpour soundtrack. I like what I hear so far. Minus the Korn song :lol

So will I be able to play this with no idea of basically anything in the Silent Hill franchise ?. I played the first and maybe a few others but can't really remember anything. One thing I've always had trouble with playing certain games is not understanding the story and who half of the characters are. Metal Gear Solid 4 had me scratching my head a fair few times but luckily the gameplay made up for it.

From the first vids and the hands on preview impressions I had a feeling this game would be awful. Series is beyond saving IMO.

So to be quite honest, the bloke on IGN has clearly never played an SH game before. its always had stiff combat, because the focus has never been on combat bar Homecoming which I loved too. SH2, you could go through all the game without fighting an enemy apart from Boss fights.

Framerate issues and couple of low textures are common criticisms, but I really dont care if it looks like Uncharted because it has a great story, which is what I want from an SH game. IGN dude is purely a ____ really.
