Its funny though...a lot of the smaller scale stuff has just as much or more detail than the big guys
and you can't get the cool environments with 1:1 unless you take it outside or something

surely if you have the space and cash to blow on 7ft+ 1:1 statues you could afford to build another wing onto your house/mansion for environments.

Yep, big difference. The AvP one is IMHO still just about the best. These might help you out, but be warned, it seems I was lucky with mt ALIENS warrior, other than a few loose joints mine is still in one piece-

theyre not that bad,if you can find one cheap
definetly not worth what people are asking on ebay
with the paint problem they have all I did was clear coat mine and hes fine.the ball joints,what I did was put some $5 super glue in the joint.
Instead of just leaving the joint to permenantly seal,I moved the joint around for a few minutes and it tightened them up pretty well.As for broken joints afraid I cant help you

the grid alien and the aliens from avpr look crap and have moved to far away from the original concept of 1&2,but thats just my opinion
