I primarily stick to 1/6 and 1/4 but will stray to other interesting formats such as the Bandai movie realization line. Preordered all of these guys (trooper x2) based on uber cool designs. Vader is already sold out at Big Bad.

So, this line of star war interpretations is responsible for me adding star wars to my collection of various lines of figures.
Thus far, I don't own a single SW collectable. Yes I love star wars,but it hasn't been I'm my collecting habits for decades.
This series was just what the doctor ordered. A modern updated look that pays proper homage to the designs but adds a needed splash of modernization.
My Vader arrived today and he is just awesome.
The only thing that I thought needed changing was the included light saber.
First off, it was bent in many areas that even heating couldn't fix.
Also I thought PAK missed an opportunity, since They updated The entire look of Vader, using The same saber design seemed off.
So, opportunity knocked and I modded The hilt to swap the blade for a shorter fatter blade that I think goes with the re imagining of the line.
I love it.
can't wait for Fett and Trooper.

Kick-ASS!

Mine did come with some QC issues. The upper arm swivels were completely stuck, so I had to use all my brute strength to rotate and unstick them. Was worried I was going to break the shoulders. Paint was also a bit sloppy in certain areas, but nothing I can't/couldn't fix.

I could understand if someone who paid $100 for this thing would be mighty upset if it came with these issues, if they didn't have basic toy repair experience.

Here's my vid review of the new PAK variant Darth Vader.

Love the overall styling and detail on the figure, but the size and weight does make it a bit more fiddly to pose than the smaller Bandai figures. But still, as a unique variant of Vader, it's a great addition to any Star Wars collection! Hope you can check out the review

Are there PAK Darth Vader figs that are counterfeits or factory rejects out on the market? I found a couple on ebay selling brand new, no box Vaders at lower prices. The seller says they are from the same factory but with minor paint defects. Should I take a chance on one since legit versions are hard to find? The stores that do have them in stock are now way up in price.

I took one for the team and bought one. It arrived in 2 days from NJ to Cali, not too shabby. I don't have a NIB PAK DV so I can't compare, but if you plan to take it out of the box to play/display it's not a bad alternative. The only issues I had were the loose abdominal joint, some slop in the upper knee joint and a super tight bicep swivel which I had to use a hair dryer to loosen it up. Other than that, it feels like a PAK figure but at a bargain price of 89 bucks shipped(current market price is around $165 and up if you can find one in stock) since I was too late to pre-order it early.
