Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Its a pity the only small scale T4 figures were those crappy Playmates ones.

We've got T1 figures from NECA, T2 figures from McFarlane and NECA, and T3 figures from McFarlane - No T4

At 1/6 we've got....a T1 figure from Hot Toys (OK 3 if you count the MMS01 and 02), figures from T2 and T4 figures - No T3

I had a T-1000 from the T2 series that had his arm break off the first time I handled him. I just glued him back together but I was disappointed.

Don't be surprised if the other arm breaks on that one. Shoulders, elbows and neck joints have all broken on my lot.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

I picked up the police shootout version Friday, great figure.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Looks good, but the matt glases of the Police Shootout, the undetailet Paint of the Weapons, the error Blood on the Nose of the Tech noir BD and the cleans parts of the dirty jacket sucks.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Well, yeah I agree on those bad points. I haven't seen an example of it so far but I hope the AR-18 is a good solid plastic that won't get warped in the packaging.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

My guns didn't warp. The Spas-12 is nice and solid.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Good to know. The warping T-1000 fingers were predictable enough I just hoped there wouldn't be any unpleasant surprises RE: the guns. The only Plasma rifle I've gotten from NECA that didn't have a drooping barrell was the cool one that came with the Battle Across Time T-800 - that was actually a great figure, not something I would have asked them to make but I'm really glad to have it since they did.

I'd take underdetailed weapon paint apps and matte black glasses over crappily-executed high detail from NECA any day.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

I could've quoted both. a-dev agreed with The Rider regarding the paint apps, so yeah...

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Yeah I see it now the first sentence. :rotfl

Right then carry on!

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

And now for something completely different....

INTERRACIAL PORN!!!!!!!

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Wow I could come out with an inappropriate pun using the name Zuckuss right here, but I'm not going to.

Re: Official NECA The Terminator Thread

Someone has a BD tech noir in which no blood on his nose is?
I would like to know whether the problem has only a few copies.
Not all.

Hey guys I'm quite new to the terminator scene. Always wanted to get it and I got hooked to how awesome my first purchase looked which was the Terminator series 1 T-800 Endo (with the terminator 1 packaging).

I plan to get the rest of what I missed out from NECA in the terminator series but I have some reservations:

1. I plan to get the Terminator 2 endo Battle damaged piece (the one with the minigun) - Any thoughts on whether it's a good piece to get?

2. I also plan to get the T-800 endo from T2 Judgment Day. Is it worth it to get it or is the one I have from T1 already better so it's not worth getting?

3. This is a follow up to question 2 depending on the answer, should I get a 2nd T1 T-800 endo due to how awesome it is?

4. I want to get the 18" one as well but I'm aware it's being sold in 2 different coloured boxes. One in yellow/orange and one in blue. Which one should I get?

Any input would be great guys

1. The only good thing about the battle damaged Endo is the minigun

2. No, it's not worth getting. The T1 Endo is infinitely better than the T2 version. The T1 head turns, has a better sculpt, better plastic and the barrels of the plasma rifle don't droop. The T2 on the other hand can't turn it's head (try it, you'll break it), has an inferior sculpt, poor plastic and has a better rifle.

3. Sure, especially if you don't get any of the crappy T2s.

4. Someone knows the answer to this on here. I want to say yellow/orange but I can't remember which box the better one came in. I know I have the better version but don't recall the packaging color.

Thanks for the detailed response which answered almost all my questions DiFabio. I have a feeling the blue box was the reissued one based on some research but I can't be too sure until someone clarifies it for me here so that I can make an informed purchase. Do you know what kind of improvements were made over the previous 18" release?

Do you recommend me to get the battle damaged minigun figure even though the only thing good about it is the minigun? Or should I skip it altogether?

Basically you're saying I'm not missing much from both the T2 Judgment day endo releases and I should just get the extra T1 T-800 endo and the light up 18" reissue?
