This is more of a problem for the youth imo. The problem they'll face is that they'll have much more trouble socialising and fitting in without using such forms of social media given it will be a completely normal way of life and something they have known since birth. As a 90s kid I feel so happy I was the last generation outside with my friends and not glued to an iPad 24/7. Even now I am on my phone for countless hours of the day. I'm aware of it and it's difficult to stop since you can often feel like you're missing something or out of the loop. I can't even imagine what that would be like for younger people now. Do facebook and instagram have age restrictions? If they do they're not working since they're both full of kids.

Yeah, I was a 80s/90s kid. So I was able to witness the very beginnings of Technologies popularity and still be one of those kids that ran around outside and saw all my friends in person. Even if that meant biking for miles to their houses or a place to meet up. We went everywhere as kids.

We lived and socialized around those things. Now a days you couldn’t get a kid to get a driving permit at the age of 16.. my kid is 18 and he still doesn’t want to drive. The phones have taken place of the Car.

I’m on my phone and tab all the time. But I try to do productive things with my time. If I post on facebook or instagram it’s about my work or about something educational. But I hate what most sites that I like post . Especially now, everything is politics. It’s annoying.

But there’s really no going back from here. If you ask me all of it really is no coincidence. To me at least, it all seems very orchestrated. All these physicists and technologists are saying the same thing - Merge with it. And that is what we’re doing and have been doing. It’s a gradual process. Condition.

What blew my mind was that it took until my 20s to realize Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is the same song used for the alphabet.
