my question is, why did they even tease that he was dead? he was alive at the end of the first game and in one of the endings he took the place of the council? or at least thats the ending I got.
They're saying that depending on the choices you make, Shepard might be dead by the time ME2 ends.

And if he dies, he aint in your version of ME 3, which could be wild!

Ordered the Shepard statue today from the Bioware store: $60 shipped - not bad considering MSRP originally was $85!

June 29, 2009 - Last week through a Twitter post BioWare let fans know news of another piece of Mass Effect downloadable content would be on the way. When no details showed up, another post was put up explaining the situation.

"Due to circumstances beyond our control we don't have anything to announce today."

It appears we'll have to wait a little longer to hear anything else. It'll be interesting to see what BioWare adds to its 2007 role-playing game at this point, especially with the sequel scheduled to be released early next year.

Its supposed to be a fight club/casino deal.

Thank goodness it isn't just another BORING planet to land on. That's what the previous DLC was and it was only 1 hour long!

I'm glad Bioware is still supporting ME1.

I want to get the next piece of DLC for Mass Effect but if it doesn't really have a story and missions, I'm not sure if I'll get it. If it ends up just being a fight club type thing, while it sounds cool, I don't know if it'll be worth the 800 points on Xbox Live it's likely to sell for.

Shepard has to assemble a new team and he does recruit a Krogan but not Wrex.
The first team might make a cameo.

Wrex isn't the only character who either lives or dies based on your (the player's) actions, will Bioware leave out those other characters too? Actually, it's more like an either/or situation.

Realistically, they are going to have to, mostly. I could be wrong. But, that means three main characters in game one may or may not really be in Part 2, cameos nonwithstanding and all that.

Who was the Krogan shown in the video, though? They specifically mentioned that if you killed a character in the previous game, he won't show up when you use that same Shepard in the sequel. I have a feeling he'll be there, even if it's just a supporting role.
