Beat the game so long ago, I don't even remember what happened at the end :rotfl:rotfl

Did it? My bad...that does sound right. Well, I take back the spoiler...still cool to think for game 2......

Also, in the book Saren has returned back from the dead, having been sliced in half by a lightsaber and is now semi robotic!!!! Whoa, wrong series! :D

Mass Effect 2 (360 & PC only)

.........for now

https://exophase.com/xbox360/mass-effect-2-officially-announced-headed-to-xbox-360-pc-10606.htm

While we’ve known of its existence for some time, EA and developer BioWare officially announced that Mass Effect 2, a sequel to 2007’s expansive sci-fi RPG, is in development.

We’re going to surpass the extraordinary gaming experience we brought our fans in Mass Effect by delivering intensified combat and expanded weapon options as well as increased depth of planet exploration, all while delivering a powerful, emotionally engaging story.
Not a whole lot in the way of details was revealed as part of the announcement, though it did mention an early 2010 release date. Also, both the Xbox 360 and PC were confirmed as platforms. Meaning, right now, EA has no plans to bring Mass Effect 2 over to the PS3. It comes as somewhat of a surprise as EA is usually gung-ho on releasing titles across multiple formats. As with the original title, perhaps there is a timed exclusivity deal in place with Microsoft here, hard to say.

Re: Mass Effect 2 (360 & PC only)

Isn't there already a Mass Effect 2 thread?

Too bad for PS3 owners or whatever.

Re: Mass Effect 2 (360 & PC only)

Suprising. I thought for sure they were going to whore Mass Effect out to every console they could.

AWESOME!!!! :rock :rock!!! i hate when exclusives sell themselves out and go multi plat. and before the PS3 girls go crazy...PC doesn't count in the console war.

Re: Mass Effect 2 (360 & PC only)

A little surprising.........but they would have to release ME 1 for PS3 first, and maybe that worked against them...would anyone plan ME2 without having played ME1? I wouldn't...!

I am all about Mass Effect - love the game. Love the two novels out (to date); bring it on!!

this is true!! but they might still do it. wouldn't surprise me if they did a timed release for the PS3.

It'd be worth playing the second one on PS3 (if it gets made) without having played the first one--I mean it's not like PS3 owners have much good games to play anyways ;)

But ME1 will never be on PS3, but for ME2 I'm not so sure, it depends on if Microsoft got rights to the series or not.

I doubt ME2 will be on PS3 since ME2 will be reading the saved content of ME1 to determine what choices you made.

That wouldn't stop it, since if it were required to play the first one there will be people with the Xbox 360 version that haven't played the first one either.

The main thing if it's coming for PS3 is whether or not Microsoft has exclusitivity rights to the series or whether or not Bioware wants to do a PS3 version since they've never done a PS3 game before.

Either that or they'll outsource the port to another developer. One example would be the PC version of the first Mass Effect, which was ported by developer Demiurge and not Bioware.

A more fitting example would be The Orange Box. The 360 and PC versions were developed by Valve themselves while the PS3 version was ported by EA.
