maybe it was the scene when Frodo is unconscious on Rivendell and Elrond appears as in a dream.The screen does momentarily go white?
I cannot be sure as i purposely havent watched these for at least 6 months due to the BR EE coming soon

Man, going from the Digital Bits to here is REALLY hard on the eyes. . . why they heck they gotta make white text on black background??

Having said that, I'm amazed that with the capacity of a BD, you STILL have to switch discs.
