OK but I would argue that that is definitely something 'developed' later, its very specific. Realising which gender you're attracted to surely comes prior to any particular fetish. My belief is that you cannot choose the sexual orientation of your child, because I think it is chosen by the soul who would be your child.
I believe in the soul and free will, and therefore, if the soul who would be your child is predisposed to a certain sexual preference, regardless of the gender of their body, that is what they will do.
I believe you can choose gender, though, because that is physically based.

Group survival (or even the survival of a species' genetic code) is not what drives human behavior. I'd even argue that it's not what drives animal behavior. The basic observable motivation of all biological action is the survival of the individual organism. Some species have developed in ways such that the group is a primary tool to this end, but that is still the primary goal; not survival of the group, per se. It's a means to an end.

Talking about making babies--drone bees and some preying mantises die or are killed after mating with females. That's not behavior oriented toward individual survival, is it?
