No seriously, that's the easiest Ninja Gaiden game.

I found Ninja Gaiden Sigma to be a lot harder than Shinobi (PS2) and that's saying a lot. Definitely one of the hardest game that I've played in this console generation, regardless if it is the easiest of the series. I still haven't played NG II... I'm not sure if I even want to go there .

Loved it... Contra was especially awesome. Just walk backwards on the first board and kill the alien from behind! So brilliantly simple
