My line of thought is that a lot of the Star Wars figures have been less than I’ve expected and some come with big diorama bases. Like the deluxe Boba Fett figures, The Empire Strikes Back Vader, Han Trooper with the big ass Death Star diorama are all under $300.

It isn't going to be polystone like the Sideshow so my guess is plastic.

I"m torn on this one. I have the Sideshow Emperor and throne and for the most part it still holds up. This one DOES look a lot nicer but besides sitting...he looks amazing standing very menacing.

I'm thinking I may keep my SS set, emperor sitting in it....and still get the standard Emperor so he can stand with is cane...flanked by his royal guards. I just don't think that HT throne will be as solid as the SS polystone and I never leave batteries in my stuff.....

If you want to cut cost and have ordered Tarkin you can use his chair!! I’m pretty sure the Emperor must have sat on a chair like that during Imperial Safety Meeting!!

Deluxe is a must for me. How can you get Palpatine without his throne? Even if you just leave it in the box. Gotta have that!

It's crazy how when sculpts are revealed many miss the mark, and you have to squint or stand on your head to see the likeness. For Emperor it's pretty much on the mark.....for the expression HT choose to go with. Bravo!!
