Looks fantastic!
If I am to understand correctly, you buffed the dome? Can you share your method and what you used?
Thanks!
I've added these two small steel/silver 'buttons' to my Vader Chest box Leather straps - what are your thoughts on this? Thanks guys. Here is the full figure. I did:
-repaint and weathering on the helmet
-slight buffing of the satin, just like the movie
-removed the dome
-painted the inside of the eyes red
-removed ribs on dome and sanded down the top of the 'head'
-reglued the dome slightly asymmetrically
-weathered and repainted the armor
-wired up the belt boxes and voice system to 4,5 dc adapter
-redressed him with cod as high as it could go
-chest box attached with double sided tape right underneath the armor
-weathered the belt, boxes and buckle
-removed the wire from the robe and added a heavier one along the bottom of the robe
-weathered and polished the shin armor
-painted all the hands flat black
-used double sided tape to really attach the glove to the hand seamlessly
-weathered and repainted the chest box
-did a lot of futzing and water treatment to get it to sit right.

That's not a picture of MY Vader - it's a ANH screengrab. Here's a photo of MY Vader here.....I like it!
-painted the inside of the eyes red
How did you manage that? I have the dome off, so is it easy to pop the sculpt apart to get inside?
I can't take credit for it - that goes to paramoremcr88: it was his original idea that I ran with - I used Merlins (brand) 'invisible thread' that comes in 2 colours, dark smoke and clear (I used dark smoke because my display cabinet is black wood) Here's paramore's original floating lightsaber pic......whoaoaaaaa mind explosion! lololzzz
how did you get the lightsaber hilt to float like that? is it a wire? such a subtle display idea that looks awesome hahaha

Got my vader today. Have a question. At the side of his mouth (triangles). Is the paint supposed to be that sloppy?
