which game did you play?
i have the iron man 2 game and you can fly in the mark 5 suit.
it just doesn't have all the gadgets etc that the other suits have

On the official Iron Man 2 game on the mission where you have to wear the Mark V armour I swear it cannot do sustained flight on short bursts, I haven't played it since May so I'm a bit fuzzy but I'm sure that was a limitation of the suit.

Im sure it would fly.When you think about it,it s whole point is that it s an emergency suit for when he s out and about.It s going to be pretty limiting if it ca nt fly.

Awesome piece, can´t believe how the abdominal articulation looks, just stunning.
Really seems to give you the overall feeling that every little plate of armor is moving.
Great job, but dunno if I pick him up...

I'd suggest going to youtube and watching it in 720p. The video quality is actually quite good. I suspect they used a DSLR to do the video.

Well I wouldn't go with those prices, because I PO MKIV at Urban Collector for $162 I think and MKVI for $181. AlterEgo also had the same price.

You do realize that both Urban Collector and Alter Ego get their stock from Sideshow and offer on almost every order a discount of 10 -15% right? Someone asked about the pricing possibility from SSC not from their Authorized Dealers. You'll definitely be able to pick this up from other sellers for slightly cheaper but then you'll have to decide what is more important to you getting it cheaper or faster? The totem pole always goes Asian Seller > Toys2 > Sideshow Direct > AD

I wish they'd not included the hall of armor stand and flying post; neither item has any relation to the Mark V seeing as how it doesnt fly (in the movie) and isn't displayed in the hall of armor. I'm a big fan of accessories but those two things are just there to help justify the steep price in my opinion.

Actually considering how they reuse that same mold over and over I would say at this point it doesn't really impact the pricing at all. Not to mention that I suspect that the inclusion of the Hall of Armors stand was to give one to the collector who has the older releases and wants to place it there, to help create that look.

The pricepoint on this is at its level because realistically its a one and done figure where the others have retooling possibilties.

I'm going to use them with the Mark II. I'm glad to be getting it, have you seen what there getting on e-bay for just the armor stand?
If nothing else sell it to offset the cost. Heck I'd make you an offer.

This is true, somewhat relative to your area but true. For me a Sideshow Direct order takes two days. Whereas an order from AlterEgo takes over a week. Orders from East Coast shops and dealers like Midtown Comics for example routinely take almost two weeks. I'm sure depending on where you are the time transits are all relative. Either way it should be noted that an AD will take a matter of weeks from a Sideshow direct AND that some times if you go a non-exclusive item like this would be there are times were the AD gets them first. I remember that whole debacle with the Sideshow Star Wars figures early last year.
